Weekly poll: is the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge the right flagship for you?

A decade ago, Samsung released the Galaxy Alpha – a slim and light (6.7mm, 115g) premium phone that promised to shake up the status quo in high-end smartphone design. The success of that is questionable as the Galaxy S6 that followed was met with criticism that was addressed with the S7.
But we’re here again – the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge asks “what if flagship phones were thinner and lighter?” Despite having the same height and width as the S25+, the Edge is slimmer (5.8mm vs. 7.3mm) and lighter (163g vs. 190g). In the process of slimming down, the Edge lost 1,000mAh battery capacity, leaving it with only 3,900mAh in the tank.

The telephoto camera is gone too, but Samsung put in a lot of effort to fit in a refined 200MP module – would that be better at zooming than the S25+ tele camera? Maybe, the 10MP 67mm isn’t a high bar to clear, but that is something that will be revealed through reviews.
But does that justify the higher price? The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge slots in between the S25+ and S25 Ultra in terms of pricing, the table below has more details. Mind you, these are MSRP prices without any promotions (e.g. the S25 Edge is on pre-order and you get a free storage upgrade).

Samsung is reportedly looking at how the Edge will perform before deciding whether to drop the S26+ in favor of an S26 Edge next year. In the same vein, Apple will soon ponder whether to jettison the iPhone 17 Plus in favor of the upcoming iPhone 17 Air.
What do you think – is Samsung on the right path with the Galaxy S25 Edge or is it a design that you have no interest in?

the ones who'd use this phone are either Samsung fanboys or people who dont really care too much about their tech. Thus, the potential customers of this phone are not going to be found on sites like this I believe so this poll would be pointless...
