I have been unsuccessful in getting this phone to receive mms. I received the text but no picture. Can anyone offer any help? I'm with Wind Mobile. mms account settings seem alright, mms centre: http://mms.windmobile.ca , WAP gateway: 74.115.197.70, connection type: http, network access point: mms.

I purchased this phone as a backup phone. I am currently with the Canadian carrier Wind Mobile. I don't know if they got a special edition phone for their network, but mine seems to have a few features not listed here.

1: It is technically 3G+ using the 1700 and 2100 frequencies for data (t-mobile uses them in the states, Wind in Canada)

2: It has the capability to USB-tether to a computer and act as a wireless modem.

I spent $70 on this phone, and have been very satisfied. If I was looking for the features that I got with it, I would have expected to pay much more, but at the time, I just wanted a phone that didn't cost a lot of money that I could use as a back-up to my smart phone.

First saw this 4neat our service centre MTN UGANDA at a knockdown price that is compared to its features. Had to go and surf out its details on the net.Have had some experience with a different model of Huawei and its performance was awesome. Thats why am eyeing this one with optimism.

                      1. Go to your inbox (or outbox you must delete each section on its own)

                      2. Click the options button

                      3. go to "mark/unmark"

                      4. select "mark all"

                      5. go back to options and delete, gets em all.

                                    This is an excellent phone.
The biggest drawback is that the display brightness is very weak - in sunlight you'll be cupping your hand over the display. And the colours go a bit funny if you're not viewing it from just the right angle.
And apparently it's technically 3g, but the two I've used (on the Virgin network in Australia) have internetted slower than 2g/EDGE phones I've used. Still, it works, if you're just planning on checking emails/timetables/facebook, and you have a little bit of patience.
But this isn't a phone for looking at - what blows me away about this is the music player. 3.5mm jack, and a dedicated music button, and a radio! The volume rockers on the side work even when the keypad is locked, so you can adjust volume without taking the phone out of your pocket. An underrated feature. And while the database organising system works, it also lets you play music directly from the file system - navigate to any music file, and it automatically sets the playable contents of that folder as a playlist. Another EXTREMELY underrated feature, makes drag-n-dropping music onto an sd card work very well.
The maximum volume isn't the loudest I've ever heard - which here means "won't deafen you". You'll be able to hear your music fine in normal conditions, but you might have a bit of trouble with quieter tracks if you're walking past a busy road or something. And wmas and some m4a files won't play (download an audio converter and you're fine). Still, for so cheap that's all easy to put up with, especially considering the excellence of the rest of the music system.
I bought one of Nokia's Xpress Music series phones, but took it back to the shop and replaced it with this.
The specs say up to 8g SD cards work, but i'm using a 16g card with no problems so far. I haven't filled it up past 8g yet though, but the file manager recognises that there's an 16g card there without throwing a fit. The card is twice as expensive as the phone, and together they still come up cheaper than lesser quality music player phones.
There's a loudspeaker on the back. The radio won't work through it though. The sound quality through that is better to my ears than the nokia x2, but still basically a tinny phone speaker.
IF you're looking for a music player phone with a decent camera (it's not gonna win awards but you'll be able to take happysnaps and post them on facebook just fine) and basic internet function, this is perfect. This is the best music phone I have ever used, I have no idea why they aren't marketing it like that here!
The songs sometimes skip if you jolt the phone while playing, but not enough for it to be a huge issue. Don't keep it rattling around in your pocket while you're jogging and you won't often encounter this problem.
Even if you find this available on some network other than what you're on, it's cheap enough and good enough that it may be worth paying the unlocking fee (I paid $39AUD for the phone).
Again, the PERFECT phone for someone looking for an mp3 player replacement. If you're not after a music phone you might want to look elsewhere, but if you are, download an audio conversion program to deal with the lack of WMA playback and buy this phone.
