It has GPS. It has Digital compas also. For outdoors you can try Orux Maps, can use calibrated raster Topo maps, besides various online maps(Google earth, google maps....).
I thnink iGo will work on it, will try.

this phone has no flash,the keyboard is small,the picture quality is Poor the videos are Poor and the GPS is not accurate. I live in Alaska,traveled to Washington D.C. with it and was very dissappointed.

I bought it last week from Telekom Serbia, too. IT DOES HAVE GPS!!! But I still didn't find appropriate maps do download. If somebody can suggest...

This phone don`t have GPS. It`s not easy to type text with fingers. Slow respond on pressing screen. Generally, not for nervous persons.

I've got one over Telekom Serbia (Huawei U8110). In fact, phone is really great, but sometimes it stucks and Weather widget and some other apps just stops and don't respond. Camera is fine, screen is really nice as well.

gps works over gps satellites but if u use application that loads maps from internet than it will use your gprs/edge/3g connection. If u have offline maps installed than its only use gsp satellites with nothing to pay
