Hi Guys, Note that in addition to Huawei U8150 IDEOS-(TFT 2.8, processor 528 MHz) we also have Huawei U8800 IDEOS X5-(TFT 3.8, Storage 2/4 gb, 800 MHz), Huawei U9000 IDEOS X6-(TFT 4.1, Storage 2 gb, 1 g HZ Processor) & Huawei IDEOS S7.0 (a Tablet) TFT 7.0. The last three will be available before May 2011.

despite all the arguments about the phone,I personally think a hands on experience should be enough to know whether it is good or not, that is why for me am waiting for a friend to buy and check it out before I decide like I did with the C3 ,plainly shooting it down is not so nice

The ideos is not underpriced if you consider the additional revenue streams that the marketplace (apps) provides. What i find interesting is that the phone is an initiative of safcom.

this phone is way too cheap for that spec sheet.dont know what safcom are trying to pull but am not risking a cent on it! buy cheap buy twice.

A lot of excitement especially from Kenyans maybe this could be their first Android experience. It may not amount to much, already you have someone asking how to chance the ringtones!!!! Absurd to have a smartphone, and android phone and all you have to think about is ringtones!!!

Guyz,just bought this phone last week...i have owned a Nokia n97,e71,e72,e51, samsung b7722, motorola q9h, sony ericsson x10,p990i, among others and i'd like to say a few things:
1. Browsing and internet is so superb on this phone, i have no words
2. Camera,a bit poor but then again, you should define the reasons for owning a fon
3. Battery life,a bit wanting but i have to admit,with the froyo 2.2 and all those applications,it would be unfair to term battery life as poor.Lets just say its average.
4. Build quality,ok but make sure you get a screen protector (preferrably from Diamon Plaza,Parklands)
5. Price,for such a phone running a 528mhz processor and running android 2.2 froyo,i'd never expect to cost less than 30k (kenya shillings) considering i had just bought the duo sim samsung b7722 for approx 20k.
Overall, for the price and the software,its a phone to die for...i don't know why i'd go to a store and buy an i-phone for more than 50k (and trust me,i still bought the nokia n97 for about 50k two years ago,hoping it would be the knight in shining amour).

The fact that its so cheap in Kenya makes me scared but am gonna buy it anyway.The cheapest Android OS Phone Out here! and a few friends have it and so far its working great with some unbelievable features
