suzy, 22 Nov 2010thanks. i did by a 2 degrees sim today and still no go so ... moreTo delete pictures/videos, go into the gallery, choose where said picture is, thumbnail view, tap and hold the picture or video you want to delete and a pop-up list should come up with 'delete' as an option.
Also, I got one from Crazy John's but it's locked to Vodafone/piggy backing carriers (CJ's, Vodafone and 3 here in Aus) for some reason, tried a telstra, Optus and Virgin SIMs and they dont work. Dick Smith supposedly sells one that's fully unlocked but costs 70 dollars more.
If anything, find a carrier that piggy backs on Vodafone's network, they might work.

otherwise, i am extremely happy with it, runs youtube, runs navigation , most apps are free, however, it will never replace my blackberry and become a primary phone, as the berry is much easier to type on,
let me put it this way, if you have a lot of texts to do in your normal day, you will have some issues, otherwise its a great phone, on my recent trip to the uae, i was able to use it for navigation without data or gprs plans

I have a request to the owner of IDEOS. Would you guys write down small of your experiences with this little handset as I am sure there has been a good time using this and you can understand its capabilities.
So would like to know good and bad points and who is overall experience as user and owner of this set.

2degrees and Vodafone do however support this phones network frequencies

i got told when i bought this phone in australia that it would work on any network in new zealand. went and bought an xt card and it wont work, tried someones vodaphone sim and it works. does this mean its locked to vodaphone? also how do you delete pics and vids from phone?

i am very much confused about its usability as a net connector for my pc, after reading some of the reviews stating that its possible and its not possible( due to the absence of hsupa....)
