This phone can be upgraded to froyo and gingerbread. Froyo runs well without any problem. But in gingerbread update lot of problem exist such as one way voice call, no androidmarket, gmail app, small font.
No flash support in this phone.

Camera needs to be improved spec. when lights are low.

Try to use another OS pack, I have upgraded to 2.2 too and I can sign-in into Gmail. I have download lots and lots of app from the market.

this phone is really bad. the processor is worse than those in the low-end samsung models, so it's slow. build quality is also an issue, the whole phone is made out of plastic and you can never get the screen 100% clean.

I upgarde my gp crystal(huawei u8500) in 2.2 froyo. Its working great. But the prob m facing is..I can't sign into google n for this I can't download softs from android market. Help me to find solutions....

i upgrade my gp crystal to 2.2 beta version.it works great but only one problem i faced that some applictions (i used earlier in 2.1)could not be found (e.g fatbooth)or incompitable with this version or some found,installed but not open(e.g Alogcat,).I am trying to install bangla font but failed.Any suggession regarding these problems.

I updated my Grameenphone Crystal branded Huawei U8500 last night and today im experiencing calling problem. I cannot receive any call although i can make a call. I change my sim card with other operators but the result is similar. Im going back to default rom and wishing it to get fixed.
