First of all, i own the huawei u8800 and i'm running a custom ics 4.0.4 rom on it, and it runs GREAT!, even with the stock rom with was really good. now it can go up to 1.8Ghz processing speed. The huawei ascend g300, u8800pro and many many phones share the same hardware... a Scorpion processor... and a adreno 205 GPU. The cpu of the huawei is a underclocked 1Ghz scorpion... all other phones are huaweis ideos x5 but overclocked to 1ghz, or 1.4ghz(honor) only the camera and screen size may be different

Pathetic phone, hangs during making calls, calls terminated all of a sudden, too many lags. Built is strong though, I have smashed it out of frustration many a times but it is intact ..

Just bought a month back from Dubai Festival City in two day special promotion for only AED 399 (U$ 110) I am glad to have my first ever smart phone with lods of unexpected feature, cool design and for me its absolutely value for money, i wish it had front camera (but never mind still works better than any other smart phones i believe) this phone has free GPS all you need is download some good GPS application like route 66, sygic etc and you will never lost, cheers huawei!
