Pathetic phone, hangs during making calls, calls terminated all of a sudden, too many lags. Built is strong though, I have smashed it out of frustration many a times but it is intact ..

Hey. I wonder if you still have this problem. I also experienced the blue screen thing. Here's what you need to do:
1. Download the original 2.2.1 version from here:
http://www.huaweidevice.com/worldwide/downloadCenter.do?method=toDownloadFile&flay=software&softid=NDE5NDQ=
2. Extract the file. Then copy the dload folder to your SD card. I suggest you format your SD card before putting the folder.
3. Turn off your phone, remove the battery, then insert your SD card. Plug your phone onto the PC. Make sure it does not have it's battery inserted.
4. Then, it will install the firmware on its own. :)

guys I bought this phone last week I can say its such an owesome phone, I have already updated it to gingerbread(2.3.5) its more swift than 2.2. although if you are a heavy user like me expect your battery to be drained but download juice defender it might do you some justice. all in all luvly smartphone way far than other high end phone that cost more for nothing, its only 19,000k

Hello there,
I'm about to buy Ideos X5 and found out that, a few days ago, the new ICS official update was relaeased for Ideos X5 Pro.
I would like to know if there is any risk on installing this update on Ideos X5, so that I can't find the Pro version. Is there the possibility to restore manufacturer definitions after making the update with this version if something goes wrong?
Generally, are u happy with this mobile? Do you recommend it?
