Huawei Watch Ultimate announced with 1.5" display, 100m submersion rating
Huawei had a big event today, announcing its latest premium phones and its new flagship wearable. The Huawei Watch Ultimate sits above the Watch 3 Pro with an even more robust build and now can submerge to 100 meters, making it suitable for professional divers.
The Watch Ultimate has a massive 1.5” LTPO AMOLED circular display, supporting refresh rates between 1Hz and 60Hz. The big shell fits a large 530mAh battery, and Huawei promises 14 days of autonomy on a single charge for regular users, while active users can go about 8 days between charges.
The wearable supports Qi wireless charging with the bundled charger offering 0-100% charge in 60 minutes. It also comes with usual sensors for heart rate, blood oxygen, and ECG measurements.
The body features 16 water-resistant structures so the Watch Ultimate can withstand extreme deep-sea pressure, and Huawei even put the device under the ISO 22810 water resistance standard and EN13319 device equipment standard tests to ensure 24-hour 110-meter depth submersion or 10 ATM.
Huawei Watch Ultimate also comes with Expedition Mode - the feature was designed specifically for outdoor-loving people and uses dual-frequency five-system GNSS positioning capabilities to always provide accurate mapping, and you can also set waypoints when deep in the wilderness. You also get your blood oxygen tracked, which can be vital at high altitudes.
The Huawei Watch Ultimate has a zirconium-based liquid metal case, while one of the straps is a new type of hydrogenated nitrile rubber. The bezel is ceramic, while the display features sapphire glass protection.
The Huawei Watch Ultimate will be available in the United Kingdom and Europe starting April 3 in two versions - Expedition Black (with а rubber strap) or Voyage Blue (with an elegant metallic strap). Prices in China are set at CNY5,999 ($880/€800/£710) and CNY6,999 ($1,025/€940/£830). Global pricing will be announced at a later stage.

It's not a "premium" watch. The price is just about $1,000. If you compare the price to those of mechanical watches, it's the price of a mid-range watch. The prices of luxury watches start at about $3,000.
