This phone is not worth to buy. It is slow, it keeps on freezing or hanging most of the time, how much more if you have an SD card in it and few low memory apps. Frequent restarts or optimize is needed in my experience. The camera is laggy or I say you'll have to wait a minute or more for the camera to start or worse it will just present you a black screen. If you have to take a shot it will take a few seconds to take a snap, in short you just lost the moment to capture it. Aesthetic is good, looks good, but the performance is very disappointing. You need a lot of patience for this phone. Not recommended for people on the go or even on emergencies.

Hey, I Purchased this phone and the people who are here, they probably have a fake or just download way too much adult videos to have their phone so laggy, I have no problems at all, phone works just fine, and you get what you pay for :) The phone is really reliable and fast.

I was primerly a fan of Huawei and hence bought a Y6 prime. Now I noticed that it is getting slower and slower day by day and even starts hanging now. Although I have not even installed too many apps. Its wifi and Bluetooth Hotspot is also not working. I Optimized it many times with built-in in optimizer but no good news.
I am really disappointed so for.

I bought this phone last month, and notice same problem as what other users here. The appearance is okay for me, but the phone is so lag, apps always crashing, the camera also. I even turned off the animation to make this phone run smoothly and it didn't work! I wish there's an update but no, I've been waiting since. They had survey and I gave them honest answer. I won't recommend it to others. First time huawei user here and I'm very disappointed

Ive read about the opinion here and saw that most of the comments here said that the phone is laggy, camera is so slow or anything else that is not good. Bought this phone just yesterday and its really great to use. Camera is fast, switching from rear to front back to rear. It takes good photos too. About the lag is that its just as expected. Chip is SD 425 Clocked at 1.4Ghz. What can you expect from that with heavy skins and clocked at 1.4Ghz. Of course it will also lag because of the users multitasking. Remember that this phone only have 2gb RAM. Set your background limit processes to 4 and there you go...Problem solved.
Again its a great phone to have, good camera with PDAF( Phase Detection Autofocus), loud speaker and very nice design.

fixed my problem with HiSuite
turns out it was my powersuply failing to supply power to my motherboard
some have problems connecting to Hisuite
an error message with this
Because an app is obscuring a permission request, Settings can't verify your response
what i did is reset my app notification settings then it connect
just go to Apps and notifications
Apps -> and click more at the bottom
then Reset app preferences
i recommend this phone
pros verygood for its price
i can play mobile legends smoothly
con is low internal storage
and camera is still slow after the latest update yesterday

Its true what others here say about Y6. It is laggy, but not that super laggy. It is OK. Phone is pretty much usable if you dont overload it with junk apps. But the camera lag. Man oh man... I have never seen anything like it. You can tap on camera icon and go for a smoke. By the time you finish there is a big chance it will be turned on and ready.
DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE if you think you might use a camera on this phone for even once.

be compare vivo, oppo, sumsung and more then compare the same spec then see y6 price is lower right. Do you think if you buy lower price and you get high specs didn't right.
if you want high specs buy high price.
if you want good games buy high price.
if you want spectacular phone buy high price.
buy NOVA 2i or honor 7x, 10.
y6 is middle specs only..
this coming august I PLAN TO BUY 2 Y6 FOR MY MOTHER AND GF.
