Hello all. I have a Huawei y7 prime 2017. As of today I haven't update the OS even the phone shows its availability. Can anyone say if worth updating?
How phone respond after update?

I hate it, it's been two weeks and I don't enjoy the phone. It is slow, freezes all the time

I am using this phone, it's a awesome phone, if there is a problem it is the storage, but if you can use one sim slot and a memory card then problem solved.

Catenda, 30 Jul 2018It is a good mobile phone but has the following problem so... morewhen you connect the device to the pc a notification appears on the mobile asking to allow media file access or charge only. You have to select allow media access.
If the camera is laggy then please do a full reset.

It is a good mobile phone but has the following problem so far already diagnosed a month only. When I connect the mobile phone to my pc I can not open the files to transfer photos and videos. The camera takes too long when I need to take a picture, ja I'm getting tired of this

I've had the phone since January 2018 and it has been performing nicely.
Positives
Battery life is great. Camera/Video is great (option to switch to pro photo & pro video)
Display is clear.Easy to understand photo editing. Calls / Video calls are fine (both regular and over WiFi or mobile data). Oh I downloaded Office and all works fine like a PC. I have had no issues in picking up networks, mobile data or wifi. I had also easily updated the OS or latest EMUI in 20 minutes in a mall in France.
Negatives
Storage space. If you use the dual sim feature, then tough luck on space as the 2nd tray is EITHER another sim or a memory card, thus HYBRID. Not dedicated memory slot like other Android phones. (FYI-My 1st sim slot is dedicated to my home network until the contract ends). As I work abroad, My solution was to buy a Sandisk OTG to transfer photos & videos (either mine or downloaded ones). It requires sometime, depending on what you are transferring to the OTG. What is annoying is that the apps run automatically and I have to do a force stop on my frequently used apps, kill the network apps (both data and wifi) to refresh the storage. The EMUI system takes about 5gb of the 16gb, and my Spotify (my fault, my choice) is a massive 4gb by now.
What I do not understand is why the photos take a lot of mb, as compared with apple devices? If I take 50 photos in a day, it eats up nearly 300mb. Hmmm. Then I have to do the OTG thing.
I've experienced phone lag about 2 - 3 times only, simply heaved a heavy sigh, hard pressed the power on to restart. It also did the same with camera, and I did the same hard reset. Fingers crossed.
Main issue. Storage. I figure out if you use only 1 sim on an unlocked phone then use the sim2 tray for your memory card, then all is good!!!!

I thought it is a good phone,but it has small modifications in comparison with Huawei P10.I love P10,it works so good.I have it for a year,takes great photos and it charges super fast.

Pretty good phone. I haven't experienced any of that stuff about overheating, however I am worried about the camera lagging a bit when you open it and the phone is less than two weeks old..

It's a good phone overall. It's a first that im using huawei.
However, battery runs out real quick and the phone heats up too... Though its not even been a month since i have bought it.
