My mom was using this phone since 2018 until she upgraded to the Realme 10 and this was passed down to my father and now to me. Now I'm using this as a secondary device next to my equally old Xiaomi phone.
I'm Impressed with the phone, it is still fast and still chugging with newer games I try to play with but there are a lot of hardware problems or has a lot of hardware failures. The power button is gone, I have to change the microUSB port because it won't charge and the volume button too is broken and I have to use assistive software app to use it, call quality is atrocious both parties won't understand each other because of how choppy it is, the microphone and earpiece might be broken and the earphone jack isn't working either and the battery is drains so fast. I thought it was my mother who was too clumsy using this but two of the people I know who has this device also have the same problem.
I'll be repairing this phone when I have the money and I'll be keeping this until this phone will become unrepairable. It's a great budget device but the design quality/durability didn't age well.

Nil, 11 Mar 2024Using this phone for five years now going 6. Software is st... moreYou sound like me. Coincidentally, my power button is no longer working as well. In fact, my own power button has fallen off. Aside that, the phone is still performing at optimum best just like when I it bought five (5) years ago on 7th March, 2019 and has been using it every day till date. I bought another Tecno phone just last week but it still doesn't satisfy me like my sweet ageless Huwaei Y9 2019.

Using this phone for five years now going 6. Software is still good but the hardware is not. My power button is not usable now. But all in all this phone is still great. No issues on playing mobile legend. Camera is still good. Connectivity like mobile network and wifi was just like the firstm time i used it. Already replace my batt coz it bloat. Will replace this until its stop working..

Been using this phone for a while after my mother gave it to me (secondhand). Although the battery life is pretty short (considering that this is a secondhand phone that was bought in 2018(?)) and the camera quality isn't that good, it still gives out a nice performance compared to my main phone which has a Snapdragon 439. I wouldn't recommend buying this, but overall, it's still an 'okay' phone to be used in 2023.

I've been using this since April 2019. And am still using it as I type this, the screen broke a year after using it but still responsive. Now, 4 years later I have black spots on the screen covering some parts of it, and sometimes, some parts just are unresponsive. Its on it's last leg that's for sure o7 it served me through tough times that's for sure. It sucks tho cause newer huawei phones don't have google now. Mine (JKM-LX2) still has google support thankfully.
Battery wise, ofc it clearly deteriorated through use but still could last half a day with average screen time use.
Its laggy at times but not always to the point its useless. It definitely served it's use.
I wrote this review as a retirement ritual to honor a good friend (lmao) o7
