I bought this model way back 2019 and the only problem I had is the front camera that stopped working.
I had to buy a replacement pop up front camera and had it installed in their service center.
But this phone works great for me! I have it for 3 years now and still works as new.
I read that some has problem with the battery - with my opinion, proper usage of phone. Don't use it while charging and I ensure to only charge it when it reaches 30%.
It was just sad that newer version of Huawei no longer have Google. When the time comes that I have to change my phone, I still want Huawei.

collo-254, 08 Feb 2022The phone served me well for over one and ahalf years with ... moreThere's something worth mentioning about the y9 prime, the video recording, at 1080 p 60 FPS, it recorded only for 30 seconds before the camera froze. I had nothing but problems with Huawei since 2014, when I got my first Huawei, the y5 with a removable battery.
Network problems
Fragile screen
Connection problems
Charging port problems
Unable to shoot more than 30 sec of videos
Poor camera quality
Swollen battery
Huawei phones are good when new but for the long run, I'll trust Vivo, oppo, Samsung since these brands never gave me any of these troubles. Not only Samsung galaxy phones are cheaper than recent Huawei but they come with Gms and 2 android upgrades.
Honor has been independent now and I will give it a shot this year, Honor is the only brand I haven't used yet.

The SIM card slot stopped working for my y9 2019, the WiFi also stopped working, the Bluetooth will somehow not connect to my earbuds on my y9 prime. I don't know if it's that chipset who's causing all these problems

All features are good and acceptable except the camera.

I have been using this phone two and half years.it still work almost perfectly.sometimes when im using the google chrome it get stuck so i have to close the app and reopen it.And i wish it had fast charging and a better camera.And i dont get new android updatesthat are the cons of this phone.this cons have been occured simce i bought it.But for overrall for that price its totally worth it.I glad i bought it.😊

Whoever planning to buy this phone I recommend spending more money on main models prime series sucks, having a hard time even when typing this message. Screen clicking by itself.
