Hi guyz! Am planning on buying the i-mate jam. Can anyone help me with a few questions?
1) What video formats does the jam support?How is the video playback quality?Does it play videos full screen?
2) How is its sound quality? Mp3? Is it better than SE k750i or Se w800i?
3) How is the battery life?
4) Is the speaker colume loud enough? What about the ear piece volume?

when removing the battry of I- mate Jam it formats the mobile combletly which lead to loss the programs that I installed

There is no Win 2005 for I-mate Jam. For details visit forum.xda-developers.com/index.php I-mate jam is HTC Magician platform so search there

I got the T-Mobile version yesterday only to discover there is no off switch! you can only power down the screen! I checked the battery and it looses about 5% of its power though the night! is the I-mate version the same? It just seems crazy to have a PDA that you cant shut off and when the battery runs out you loose all the memory and any programs you installed and the dam thing get set back to factory settings!

Can somebody help me please? I have an i-mate jam. When I select PHONE option on my imate, the phone number pad appears OK, but the phone number display (i.e. where typed numbers will appear) is only shown partially. As a result of this, I have to blindly type the numbers without seeing them resulting in many wrong calls.

well i am now on to my 5th i mate wot? u may ask yes i know sad.. each unit has had quirky issues that i will share. firstly i am an electronics must have kind of guy. and i make a point of testing all features that a devise has to offer and unfortunatly when it has to work hard they fall over. my problems have been primarily wth the ear phone peice as it resonates when people are talking to you kind of a metalic vibration, also dialing wrong numbers, connecting to internet at od times, not being able to wake up the device without a reset wich of corse delets my pics and so forth. on the positive side it is an excelent device but i wish the tested thes things properly be for the put on the market. i do not no of any other device that comes close as far a fetures go so i guess i will try #6 and see what happens am i the only one?

Dowload audacity – www.audacity.com – It’s a free program – use it to open any MP3 file such as your favourite song and then using the toolbar, select the section of the song you want, just by click and drag – don’t do the entire song or it uses way too much memory. Once you have the selection you can preview by pressing the play button, keep playing with the selection until you get exactly the snippet you want – then convert it to a wav file and put it into your phone through your file transfer files – In your phone, you still need to identify it as a ring tone in the setting – system – add ring tone section– but it’s very simple
As you can see – I’m a bit bored at work today in Sunny Perth – Australia.
