I have been using a Jamin for about 6 months. I have many apps. loaded & have not experienced many problems, although it is a bit slow. My main problem is the crappy sound quality; after all, this is also supposed to be a phone, but sound quality is terrible lacking volume and suffering from distortion & lousy tonal quality.

      is the quality like N70, N73 for capturing video with mp4 format 320*240??

        I have to say that whilst this phone is over all a great PDA, the speaker has really let me down twice thus making me think its a faulty design or poor quality parts.

        I would not recommend you get this phone only because the speaker fault which is a pain to get repaired.

          I have had the Jamin since June last year and have been very disappointed with the build quality. Within a couple of months the speaker on the phone stopped working and now the phone doesnt ring anymore. I have had a few of these devices but this has by far been the worst one.

            I am thinking of getting one, any advices?
            I want it for the Microsoft Office, internet and as an organizer because I always forget appointments and stuff, one more thing is it really reliable for sending and receiving E-mails?

              Hi,
              I have been using this phone for a while. Lately the misallignment of screen key pad being non responsive is quite frequent. Have anyone else experienceing the same issues.

                Hi,

                I have been using IMATE JAMin for quite some time now and it is an excellent phone set providing all capabilities of a phone as well as PC. The only problem I have faced is that the screen automatically unlocks as soon as an incoming call is received. Don't know where th esetting is to keep the screen and phone locked when th ecall is not to be answered.

                  i am using this for 6 months.excellent one.
                  excellant display,
                  verygood batterylife comparing othet ppcs,
                  excellant music player that you can ever imagine-(i-music, player ),
                  good camera,wonderful video player that plays pleasant videos taken from phone,
                  i think this is the most entertining model with best price.
                  comparing with o2neo,it has better display,
                  comparing with n91 it has better music function,
                  comparing with n7o-it has best camera when taken good lighting,
                  excellant browising display,similar to desktop experience,
                  this is the no1 mobile phone that i evwr have used.

                      it is a good phone .... audio is really bad ... i was expecting the jamin to have a good audio system ... it failed terribly ... bluetooth wont work if screen is turned off .... the earpiece is so low ... i had to rely on the headset ... but couldnt be used at all times ... the old phone ringtone is the only full clarity sound in the whole of the imate jamin .... alarms are silent even though put at full volume ... and same goes for the reminders .... the audio part only sucks ... even after giving for a service ....

                        I have been using Win CE devices since the very first cassiopiea - E100 (If that was the correct model). My first PPC phone was HTC alpine (IMATE pocket pc). It was very gud. I used it for more than 3.5 years then changed it with this JAMIN.

                        Its a VERY GUD device. GREAT improvement.

                        I agree some devices have problems. like auto-damange of speakerphone speaker (secondary loud speaker) and screen alignment problems.

                        But they do get repaired easily, and free if they are in warranty. Same happened with me and my cousin (the speakerphone stopped responsing), but we had it covered through warranty. The replacement ones are for $10 only in Pakistan.

                        The device hangs and slows. Yes it should, use SPB Shell and pocket plus. Keep the sstorage and program capacities atleast 15 MB ffree each. If you do just all this, there aint no gud WM5 device in such this price.

                        I still use this device as my primary standard issue gadget for a modern professional ;).

                        I use Nokia N73 as my secondary entertaining smart phone.

                        I will only replace this device if i like HTC touch. ASUS P535 or Imate Ultimate.

                            This is a great phone!!!!I have it italian version....They only fail in one thing sound...Low volume except that great phone.Really.In my plan there is new model same like this only with buttons it's much confortable with them!

                              I used to have the i-mate PDA2K and it was working great. The only problem was it's size, so after I wrecked it in saltwater I decided to buy the smaller i-mate JAMin.
                              A big mistake.
                              The earphone speaker is too silent. I have a very hard time hearing the person at the other end speaking and I do not have any hearing problems. But this is not the worst. I constantly have screen alignment problems. I have to align the screen nearly every day. It is a real paint in the neck if you try to select an item on the screen and it actually activates the item or letter beside it.
                              I cannot recommend anyone to buy the JAMin.

                                The most horrible phone ! The first one I got started hanging from the first day. Exchanged the phone and got a bad deal. The phone never syncs with my comp. BAd caera and really bad bat life--does nit even last a day. the speakers are bad and the audio sucks. JUNK the phone --never buy this.

                                  A real junk, especially on the audio part. Was always using a Nokia 9300i and a big mistake, to change over. Wouldn't recommend to anyone!!

                                    Hi, I have JAMin - Alarm Tone doesnt stop - We did soft reset, Hard Reset, CMOS Update - finally it worked but the camera is very horrible+NO Flash, Speaker's - Waste, E-Mail setup is very easy but send & recieving - headache. Video - Play back not that good, Two Good things OEM CA AntiVirus & Games get Installed Quickly. I would rate 4/10.
