Dialling out is so cool:
hold phone in right hand, left hand in your left pocket or holding your coffee, now Press on contacts(small white line below screen) with right thumb: Magically the contact list pops up...
Now hold the down part of the "round-navigator-button" in ....
magically you start scrolling through your contacts....after about 2 seconds, the alphabet letters A,B,C, D...appears in sequence...hold your thumb on the "down" till you get to the letter your friends name is stored under...say.."K"
Now let go, press again to scroll down the names/surnames starting with "K".
When you are on the name, press the green button or silver select button.
One thumb operation...NICE!!!!!!!!! HEY???

If you received a call and want to save the new number, just save it...the menu is there!

I never used the transcriber on my SonyErr phones, coz my "e" is way to ugly to be recognised by any software anyway, so don't sweat it, the screen-keyboard is way better!

Set your battery warning!
All phones light their backlight when menus aare pressed, so does this one...if the battery is flat, charge it with the charger or the magic-usb cable charger(supplied) on your pc...

Excellent 2mp camera and video capture and pplayback is good for me...screen is crystal cclear.

I use to have PDA2k & now upgrade myself to jamin. features improved but processor is slow, results in frequent hang & restarts.

Can anyone tell me if SD/MMC and MMC memory cards are the same? I have one from my Nokia 9300 I would like to use in an i-mate JAMin

So your jamin phone rings, you fiddle unclipping buttons and accept calls easily enough. But try dialling out!! The virtual keyboard is useless which means you are a slave to using the pen for basic phone functions!! Where is the autosave feature?? non existent and the transcriber program has a mind entirely of its own !! the power down button is useless as you cannot use any feature on the phone without lighting it up with the rhs button,without choosing a permanent on zero battery life function!! This is a useful business tool let down by a crappy camera, crappy phone and an extremely crappy video sorry!!!!

i have one used its working very well but i have 2 problems
1-the camera does not working i mean i puch it to applicat it seems working in procces then notheing .
2-when i choose between the stylish writing it takes like 30 sec untill coming up is that commen with jamin.

can anyone judge between the sound quality of jamin and n91,is there anyone who rather go for n91 instead jamin becuase of 4gb hdd,sound quality,....? please help me

Dear anonyms

I understand that, not every set is perfectly suited to the imagination. But still the biggest factor hurting me is the re-sell value, and now my set got the speaker change… I value declines dramatically. As I said. Speaker problem is not wid every hand set. But its there in every 15 – 20 set. Anyway thankz the suggestion on how to zoom in. I still say !

i-mate JAMin is 50 / 50 machine by far.

Synchronization is excellent, mine works while I'm permanently online with our mailserver and networkserver and internetserver and connected to 7 different printers/plotters.
I'm constantly working on our LAN and my JAMin synchronises every-time!

If you set the resolution to 1.3mp you can zoom, at 2mp it auto-focuses and it has a micro(close-up shots) and normal setting.

Excellent value for money with MEGA features.
I have a real digital still camera with a real flash to take night pics...with OPTICAL and digital zoom.
If you really know anything about cameras....you know digital zoom doesn't mean much.Optical zoom is important
To be honest, a 1.3mp camera would have been fine for me, as I use my real-digital-still camera as a "camera"

My JAMin's ringer is excellent, the rear-loudspeaker has slight distortion when set on FULL VOLUME, but as with my hi-fi and car radion, when there is distortion, I turn it down from FULL to say 80% and guess what?..I can hear no distortion, and all that needs to be heared.
I actually like it, because when someone calls with a bad microphone on his phone, I can "CRANK-UP" the volume to compensate for the "Other" phone's soft mic.
Thus...the speaker is just perfect for a person who understands the difference between audible sound and distortion.
It's excellent on mp3's...I'm happy, the earphones have excellent quality as well.

what did you do? weird? yeah take it in and play the same song to the agents, maybe you want 50db of base from a half inch speaker...good luck.

Again...I'm happy...really and content...etc..

If you don't like it, please spare yourself the grief and sell it, then go out and get the phone you want.
If one guy is happy with his 330iBMW and the next guy isn't...sell it, buy a Merc SLK55.
Don't hang on to your 330iBMW and hate it coz it's not as fast as a SLK55.
Buy the SLK55 and be happy and be happy with the higher price...don't complain coz it's not a Bugatti Vereyon, coz that's more expensive.

Great phone. I have been using it for a few months. It is very user friendly. The only dis-advantage is that the built in phone memory is not enough. Overall great toy.

Well Well ! this JAMin is 50/50 machine, i have been using it for couple of weeks now.

Design and features are excellent on paper. but using curtain features on phone is one hell of a job.

Synchronization is very typical, it wont work once another network connection is already enabled on the machine, that means any LAN or Dial-Up connection. So first connect your deivce then activate your LAN or Dial-Up.

Phone Book is poor of JAMin. Comparatively to Moto V3x or Nokia N series phone. There is no such feature to select multiple entries in phone book to copy the contacts to SIM memory at once. You need to do it one by one, by going to edit > menu > copy to SIM.

Camera of JAMin ! Big WOW - 2.0 mpx, without any ZOOM and flash. LOL. Fine its a business mobile, but y i-mate have this Sologan "for business - for plessure - for life", it must be only "FOR _ _ _ _ _"

!!! IMPORTANT !!!
JAMin got this problem of Ringer and Loud speaker not working. I am facing the same problem and i discuss this with few mobile pros, they said JAMin have this manufacturing fault in many hand sets, if you keep the volume of your device and phone MAXimum and you use it frequently for listen music on device,"which i tense to do alot" it means usage of speaker phone is frequent, then the speaker phone burst off(out of order). i took my phone for the warranty, they said speaker phone needs to change and set will be opened.

i have spend aprrox: USD 550$ for this JAMin (brand new). In my opinion if you still like JAMin, then go get a set without warranty or second hand device. Atleast you dont suffer heavy loss and Pain.

Yes ! you can personalize MP3 as ring tone by following steps:

Place your MP3 files which you want as rign tones in the following directory

My Device > Windows > Rings - (Paste or Copy files here)

after this your files will be displayed in the tones list.

I had to configure the i-mate as a modem for a colleague of mine through the USB port and the Laptop just did not detect the USB as a modem. Do I need a ROM upgrade ? Has anybody configured JAMin as external modem ?
