There is a + side as well as a - side in stopping running programs.
It will certainly speed up execution of new programs when you stop all programs running in the background.
However when you re-open a program which has been stopped, it will take longer to open. (Especially Contacts, Mail and SMS which generally will contain a lot of data).

You may hard-reset the device by holding the two dash buttons above the START and OK buttons simultaneously and pressing inside the hole meant for soft-reset just to the right of the infra-red port. Keep holding until you get a two line instruction on a full white screen and then follow the instructions. This will return the device to the factory state (i.e. wipe out all data and programs installed by you).

Hello everyone! I'm thinking of getting myself an I-mate but am confused. i had an I-mate Jam for sometime, and that gave me trouble, when the i would recieve a call or message, the volume would be too low and i wouldn't even hear it! so can someone tell me if the jasjam will fix this problem? will be waiting for reply. David.

I have had my jasjam since feb this year and it has been back to the shop 3 times. Each time takes about 4 weeks to fix! Picked it up for the 3rd time on Tuesday and they told me I should upgrade to WM6 to fix any bugs! Well you cant! Imate haven’t released WM6 yet. This phone is rubbish and Imate's support is rubbish. Try speaking to anybody at any time, anywhere from imate is impossible. They don’t even reply to your emails. Don’t buy one!

Comparing the JasJam running Act! Contact and database management software, with an old iMate PDA 2K, or HTC blue angel, seems like a step backwards in performance. When the contact database gets too large (4000 contacts) on the JasJam the performance SEVERLY slows, looking up a contact takes at least 30 seconds, compared with the older models, which are almost instant, most of the time. I have no idea why this is, but if I come over any solutions I will post them.

I purchased the Jasjam in March this year (07). I originally sent it away as it had the white screen of death when you attempted to press the internet button up the top of the handset. The other problem was that my phone would not allow me to disconnect from phone calls (i would press the red button on the phone and also the end button on the screen with no success). So I got the phone back walked out of the shop to find that nothing had been fixed. To date I have been using a loan phone for 10 weeks.

well......i'm supposed to buy it in 2 days...i'm so excited but also so worried for paying such a big sum of money while knowing that such sofisticated devices usually have sofisticated problems,but i just love it and need it in my work.

hi am using imate jasjam from past 9 months suddenly i got a problem with the dispaly its turned into white colour the rings but the display is blank can any 1 plss tell me wheather this is software problem or display problem and there is any service center for i mate in India

Query everyone...my jasjam has decided to display the time as a clockface (with no numbers) rather than digital in the top right hand corner...any ideas???
Otherwise the thing is absolutely sensational. Especially now I can get Foxtel TV.

hey,can somebody help me,i bought Jasjam imate few mothns ago,am studying here in china,i wanted to use chinese language for a while,but now i wanna change it to english,but i dont remember where did i put the driver(software) for it.can someone help me with this please.thank you in advance.

can you please tell me how to open the password or programme that can format the mobile coz i changed the password and i do not have acces to my mobile provide me with solution . i changed the password to a 4 numeral number (9000) but when i try to key the number the last digit is not accepted by the phone

i bought my new jasjam last week,and so far d performance is good, but i do not know how to use the internet explorer,i mean i dont know how to connect to the internet....
somebody can give a help???????
