        People!!!

GPRS browsing sucks.. The connection breaks ever 10 sec.

        Its a great PDA.

But the phone module is really terrible. No SMS delivery reports, Poor GPRS connectivity.

My kind advise!! Never buy pda2k. My kind advise!! Never buy pda2k. My kind advise!! Never buy pda2k . My kind advise!! Never buy pda2k . My kind advise!! Never buy pda2k . My kind advise!! Never buy pda2k, if you want to use most of the phone functions

I am planning on buying an I-mate phone, I was wondering, what model is better: the pda2k or the pda? Regarding the software, are they identical? Which would you recommend?

Will it support Windows Mobile 2003?
It runs Windows Mobile 2003 2nd Edition

How is the internet access, easy or not?
Very easy to wind up paying your service provider connection charges, yes.
Wireless access is less intuitive, but possible. Internet Explorer mobile version loses page format frequently - so (e.g. mapping pages show bits of maps all over the place).

The length of the wireless, is it good?
                      Comparable to my Centrino.

Can play DVD-PPC movie on it?
I recommend encoding AAC with Nero, then playback on the PDA with Betaplayer with AAC plugin. Window media player hardly plays anythign at all, and doesn't support plug-ins / codecs.

I forgot to mention dials up a charged connection at every opportunity - seemingly no way to stop it doing this, great idea for the phone company! O2 are slow on tech support (no reply at all yet). And don't expect windows media player or internet explorer to do anything more than view the simplest websites and play simple wmv / mp3s. Forget any idea of other codecs.

Great features, shame the implementation is hopeless, the device freezes every few minutes, the phone fidelity is intolerable, and the bluetooth implementation is next to useless, so you can't even improve it with a bluetooth headset. Windows mobile hype is far fro the true functionality too.

Just purchasing a PDA2k EVDO and wondering whether I need to have an Microsoft Exchange 2003 to be able to use outlook to check my email?,
or how does the email client on this unit work?

well the reason you cant use skype its because you have to pay to use it on your mobile but on the pc or the laptop its free
