Ra, 09 Aug 2020 Hello! I am now using a Hot 9 Play and here are my opinion... moreThis is a extremely helpful review. Thanks a lot!

It seems if you buy 2, 32GB variant with Helio A22, you need to be a little smart while using phone. Otherwise, you may face some lag when there are multiple apps running.

Try HedgeCam2 app. It can improve camera quality a little bit, like by increasing HDR frames & bitrate of videos which will increase their detail.

Hello! I am now using a Hot 9 Play and here are my opinions on the phone:

                                  Pros:
-large battery: able to squeeze up to 13 hrs of auto-brightness screen-on time, under heavy usage (games, messenger, facebook and web browsing)
-large screen: best for watching videos and gameplays
-front-firing speakers: best placement of speakers as your hands will not hinder the sounds unlike bottom and back-firing ones
-capable processor: an old processor doesn't mean its slow. It's capable of running heavy applications but under mid settings, which is fair for its price point. I can play ML there are background processes, and I only experienced a few stutters, so rare you might not notice it the whole game. I have the Helio A22 but it's clocked at 2.0 ghz @ 4 cores, and I think this is more efficient and less power-consuming than the octa-core ones. It doesn't heat too much as well (I use mobile data).
-pricing: it's just too cheap compared to the likes of other budget phones, with a compromise of an outdated processor (but really, it gets all the work done).
-somehow heavier (bias): i like heavier phones as it is solid to hold and use.
-fingerprint and face-scanner: you can't find any new models having these in this price point. They're fast and reliable.
-latest Android 10: some phones offer the outdated Pie in this price-point.
-LPDDR4X ram: I digged deeper and found out it has a fast ram arch. switching to different apps is seamless even though I only have 2gb ram.
-design: trust me, you will not regret the design, especially the Cyan one (I am using it now).

                                  Cons:
-camera: although it has dual-cam setup (with a low-light sensor), it does not perform very well under low lights. Images can be grainy and it somehow lacks details if you zoom in. Subtle over post-processing can be noticed, affecting the overall image you have captured. But it does really well in good lighting, but not on par with the other competitors. Good thing it has a front-facing flash. Effects (such as bokeh) are suprisingly good.
-2gb ram can be a bottleneck: i have the 2/32 variant with android go, I can run a few apps but not the heavy ones simultaneously. This can be user-based, but I in my experience, this isn't much of a problem.
-bloatwares: there are a few bloatwares you can't uninstall, and some of them has ads built on them. You can disable them though.
-screen density: it wasn't as sharp as FHD+ ones.
-google go apps are too unoptimized: message app (for texting) is too slow to load. google go gallery has stutters. It is advisable to install 3rd-party apps for messages. I still use the gallery though.
-i can't seem to turn on the notification LED, care to lend me a hand in this?

Overall, a good phone to buy at this price point. If you are ready to spend more, you can get a Redmi 9A or a Realme C11, however faster processors means more power consumed. They are also smaller. I can use this phone non-stop for a whole day and a half, I do not regret buying it.
