Cyberchum, 17 May 2020Aside from 5000mAh battery and mediocre and largely pointle... moreInfinix Note 7 is priced same as Redmi Note 7 here. Do you think your little country Nigeria is entire world? RN7 was way overpriced in my country at the time of its release.
I remember someone from Nigeria asking me for advise a year ago. I checked your country's smartphone market and it sucks. You don't even have any options in specs. You literally buy the same phone but from different brands at very high prices.
I felt sorry for him. This also explains why you hate Infinix Note 7. It suddenly diversified the concept of Product Line in Nigeria and you can't adapt to this change. You aren't progressive.
Anyways, here it goes. I expect a equally detailed technical response from you instead of the blabbering you've been doing. If you can't, don't even bother replying because I won't entertain you further.
1. More powerful chipset.
- Infinix Note 7 gives 45-50FPS in PUBG with PGT Pro.
Redmi Note 7 gives around (or less than) 35FPS.
2. Same price, but:
Infinix Note 7 has 4GB RAM, 128GB storage.
Redmi Note 7 has 4GB RAM, 64GB storage. Out of which only around 42GB was free when I owned it.
3. Same price, but:
Infinix Note 7 has LTPS IPS LCD. You probably don't know these things so I better explain. Its display has viewing angles than any other phone in this price. Why? With 6.95 inch screen, it's aimed at becoming a perfect mini TV to watch with friends.
- Low resolution phones are usually only a problem when you hold them close to your face (same logic as TV) so in this kind of use (and at hand distance), it's display is actually more useful than RN7.
You do compromise display, but it's not that big of a compromise unless you're crazy about display resolution. One problem with Infinix Note 7 display is its visibility under sunlight. Redmi Note 7 also had this issue, so that's irrelevant to your question.
4. Same price, but:
Infinix Note 7 has Android 10 OS and will be updated to newer Android versions.
Redmi Note 7 is still on Android 9 and even if it gets Android 10, it'll be its last update.
FYI: Here, no other phone comes with Android 10 in this price. Some are scheduled to get it but it's unknown when.
5. Camera:
You said Infinix Note 7 has *low* 48MP sensor, while stock camera of Redmi Note 7 sucks even more. I've used RN7 so I know.
The colours of Redmi Note 7 were are always wrong, slowmo had lags, pictures were unusable in lowlight and 60/120FPS videos didn't even have 60/120FPS. It was fake.
Only reason I and other people like RN7 camera is due to Google Camera support, which Infinix Note 7 also has. With 48MP back camera with f/1.8 apertures & 16MP front camera with f/2 aperture, both with FULL Gcam support. You can expect its camera to perform decently, maybe not as good as RN7 but still good enough to replace it given other specs. Though selfie camera of Infinix Note 7 is way more advanced and can easily outdo RN7 with the right Gcam.
6. Infinix Note 7 18watt charging actually works (100% in 2 hours for 5000mAh battery).
Redmi Note 7 takes 2-2.5 hours to charge its 4000mAh battery Proving that it's fake. Which sucks because RN7 4000 mAh battery lasts as long as 3000mAh phones.
7. Infinix Note 7 5000mAh battery that *can* actually last 2-3 days unlike RN7 4000mAh battery which barely lasts 1-1.5 day.
In PUBG, my Redmi Note 7 would last 4-4.5 hours. Some report even less battery endurance. This is same as Nokia 6.1 Plus with 3100 mAh battery.
8. Signal Reception:
Infinix Note 7 has stronger signal reception than Redmi Note 7.
In fact, Redmi Note 7 has a complaint for weak signal reception. Same is the case for Redmi Note 7 Pro, Note 8 & 8 Pro. It's a common problem in Redmi/Xiaomi phones.
9. Less heating:
Redmi Note 7 heats up too much in heavy use while Infinix Note 7 doesn't.
10. OS Skin:
XOS of Redmi Note 7 is perfectly fine. It doesn't slow down phone's performance and doesn't use much battery. You don't lose 10% battery while sleeping either.
- MIUI of Redmi Note 7 is the entire reason its SD660 chipset performs worse than SD636 phones like Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1.
- It's also the reason behind why its 4000mAh battery lasts as long as 3000-3400 mAh battery phones.
- MIUI is most famous in Android community for bugs/problems. For proof, you can ready any Redmi phone user forum regarding updates. It only gets more issues with every update.
- When I sold my Redmi Note 7, I and many other users on Gsmarena were forced to download launchers like Evie and Nova Launcher because of bugs in MIUI.
The only advantage of MIUI is that it's feature rich so you can decorate your home screen/launcher a bit. By compromising everything I stated above.
What do you want more? Performance and battery while browsing Facebook/working/playing games or decorate your phone like a little girl?
I could go on but I know you can't even understand what saying. You're someone that can't tell his phone isn't working like its specs suggest even if you bought it (Redmi Note 7). I could sell a brick to you telling you it's gold and you'd buy it.

Cyberchum, 17 May 2020More than 1-year old Redmi Note 7 is better that recently r... moreI owned Redmi Note 7 for 1 month.
Anyone that likes RN7 for any reason other than its camera should not have an opinion on phones. It's proof of how little you know about phones.
1. RN7 performance is lower than SD636 phones like Asus Zenfone Max Pro. It's around SD632 or lower.
Infinix Note 7 has much superior performance.
2. RN7 battery is comparable to 3000-34000 mAh phones. My Honor 10 Lite (which I also owned at the time) had better battery timing than RN7. Both in gaming and normal use.
3. RN7 18watt charging with Type C was slower than Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 10watt charging with Mirco USB. Or Realme 3 for that matter. Infinix Note 7 charges in 2hours, proving that its 18watt charging actually works.
This is also my answer to your blabber about Type C. Are you suggesting Infinix should intentionally sell Type C phone that goes against needs of the customer?
Do you even know the concept of Product Line? Don't try to teach Multinational Company business when you know nothing about these things or phones for that matter.
You started talking like an idealistic in a desperate attempt to counter my point about Micro USB being more suitable in most of its targeted markets. What does that tell you about yourself? You need to fix your attitude.
PS: You don't even know anything about Type C technology. RN7 doesn't even support Type C completely, which is why its 18watt Type C charging is as slow as Micro USB 10watt charging.
You're this gullible and want to have an opinion on phones?
4. I haven't read RN7 reviews in a year, but I'm willing to bet you'll find all of these complaints easily on its forum:
- Heating issue
- Battery issue
- Speaker issue
- Display issue - the very reason you quoted it here. Ironic.
- Performance issue
These were all common a year back too. Lol.
5. If you're okay with buying a garbage quality phone that doesn't even work properly, then go ahead and buy it.
But don't try to force your unintelligent opinions on us.

Don't even bother mentioning screen size, because it's already a disadvantage to many. Few want something with such a big footprint in their pockets. Most people that buy them are only putting up with them.

Last August, I bought Redmi Note 7 for $180. More than a year after Redmi Note 7 was released, infinix announced a phone with worse specs at higher price. 3 abysmal camera sensors, which are practically only there to make up numbers, and 6.9 inches HD display, with micro USB.

I have bought infinix note 7 (6gb). Its very nice to performance over all good but some thing need to improve like camera quality is not so good and finger print sensor not working fastly and fingerprint sensor place should be change from side unlock button to backside OR front blow screen, its very irritating sensor button while using mobile. And last thing is that his sound quality is not so good and his level of sound is not loudly. I listen songs in full volume and here is not much better sound. Over all performance is very good. I like it . Thanks

It charges completely in 2hours.
In many countries including Pakistan, very few people use Type C phone. As a result, if you go to a friend's house, you'll have trouble finding a Type C cable. Because everyone owns Micro USB phones.
