Infinix Zero Flip review
6.9-inch bendy OLED, large cover display too
The Zero Flip features a 6.9-inch foldable display with a 1,080x2,640px resolution (pixel density works out to 413ppi, and the aspect ratio is 22:9). It's an LTPO OLED panel with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz.
In our testing, we measured a maximum brightness of a little over 1,000nits in auto mode and just under 500nits when operating the slider manually. Neither is a remarkable number, but it's not like the Zero Flip is strapped for brightness either.
The cover display is pretty great too. You get a squarish 3.64-inch 1,056x1,066px OLED panel that can also do 120Hz - like the main display. It spans almost the entire width of the clamshell and features cutouts for the two cameras as well as the flash assembly.
When it comes to refresh rate handling, there are 'fixed' 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz modes, as well as an auto mode, but in practice the phone will dial down to 10Hz when idling in all of the modes - you can think of the values as ceilings. The phone would maintain high refresh rates in games, though the inhouse gaming utility didn't seem to show values above 60fps in the games we normally test for.
There's no official hardware HDR support in the Zero Flip's specs, but it is capable of decoding HDR10 and HDR10+ streams just fine. The Widevine L1 compliance means you'll get high-res playback of DRM-protected content - we got FullHD streams in Netflix (but no HDR).
Infinix Zero Flip battery life
The Zero Flip's 4,720mAh battery capacity is pretty sizeable for the segment, being significantly more than what would be considered the benchmark clamshell - the Galaxy Z Flip6. Closer to the Inifinix' price point, the Razr 50 is also packing less juice.
In our testing, the Zero Flip returned very good numbers in video playback and web browsing, and somewhat less exciting gaming endurance. Overall, a pretty good Active Use Score for a small foldable, but certainly not as long-lasting as what you can get in a bar form factor for similar cash.
Our new Active Use Score is an estimate of how long the battery will last if you use the device with a mix of all four test activities. You can adjust the calculation based on your usage pattern using the sliders below. You can read about our current battery life testing procedure here. For a comprehensive list of all tested devices so far, head this way.
Charging speed
In terms of charging speed, the Zero Flip is among the top performers in its class. The bundled 70W adapter got us to 100% in 48 minutes, with the battery indicator showing 72% at the half hour check point.
Speaker test
The Zero Flip has a stereo speaker configuration with one bottom-firing unit and another one up top that serves as an earpiece. Strict channel separation is observed, and channels are dynamically assigned based on the phone's orientation in space.
Bottom speaker • Top speaker/earpiece
The phone earned a 'Very Good' rating for loudness in our testing, on par with the Razr 50 and slightly louder than most current clamshells.
Use the Playback controls to listen to the phone sample recordings (best use headphones). We measure the average loudness of the speakers in LUFS. A lower absolute value means a louder sound. A look at the frequency response chart will tell you how far off the ideal "0db" flat line is the reproduction of the bass, treble, and mid frequencies. You can add more phones to compare how they differ. The scores and ratings are not comparable with our older loudspeaker test. Learn more about how we test here.

I still don’t understand the significance of foldable phones. No matter how the manufacturers promote it, the creases are obvious after using it for a week.
