Infinix Zero Flip review
Competition
The Zero Flip proved to be a rather capable all-round performer in the clamshell foldable space, with some areas that it almost shines in, and some small missteps to go with them. Similarly priced competitors may not be in abundance, but there are alternatives still.
We have to start with the de facto standard in the segment, the Galaxy Z Flip6. It's a little under twice as expensive, and it's nowhere near twice as good, though it does score points for software support, chipset performance, and water resistance, while the Infinix is the better cameraphone, we'd say. The Razr 50 goes for Zero Flip money and is also not as good of a cameraphone, though it does offer water resistance. You could also entertain a comparison against the Tecno Phantom V Flip2 - the Zero Flip's more affordable alter ego that's not quite as capable on the selfie front, and has a few other minor downgrades.

Verdict
A foldable on a budget is bound to come with some compromises, but weighing the pros and cons of the Zero Flip, we'd say Infinix did a fine balancing act. The greatest offense is probably on the software front where Android 14 and two OS upgrades doesn't paint a rosy long-term future for the Zero Flip. The lack of eSIM support may not be a dealbreaker, some more careful wiping can help keep the display clean, and water resistance is perhaps not to be expected from every foldable.
The dependable photo performance from all cameras, with selfies being particularly great, makes the Zero Flip an unlikely favorite in the clamshell segment when it comes to picturetaking, and video capture isn't too bad either. Battery life is solid, while charging speed tops the chart for the class. Both displays are pretty great too.
Overall, the Zero Flip is a competent package and a reasonable choice if you're looking to get a compact foldable phone without breaking the bank.

- Fastest charging in the class.
- Very good photo quality, day and night.
