You will have to imsert sim in the watch atleast once while registering the number, then you can take it out and put it in some other device if you want to. Once verification code is sent and your device is verified with the number you intend to use. You can take the sim out or let it stay there

Also, I would suggest using voice typing rather than normal typing on this device, screen being too small

Iconnect app is there to connect your phone with the watch so that it can sync logs, messages. That's all it does. It is easy to make it work. Straightforward and simple, but very limited use and it is crap.

Iwalk has nothing to do with Iconnect. It is a mini fitness app to record steps only. Iwalk has nothing to do with connecting watch and phone,but Iconnect is there for that purpose.

To sync irist watch with smartphone..

1. Connect irist watch and smartphone with internet such as your home wifi network.
2. On your smartphone, install Iconnect(Intex irist) app from playstore.
3. Open Iconnect on phone and register.
4. On smartphone, after logging in, tap click to bind the watch. Qr scanner will open.
5. Open Iconnect app on irist watch and tap phone icon.
6. Scan Qr code on irist screen from phone.
7. Verification code will appear on both screens.
8. Tap Ok

Now, they must be paired and you will receive comtacts, messages and call logs on your watch.

But, it is still not good enough I feel as you will not receive calls real time from phone to watch. It basically sucks.The software.

I use tablet talk for receiving real time calls via bluetooth as in car bluetooth stereo.
But, app is not customized for irist watch, so I had to use an app called Big Font(Change Font Size) to complete a step which I was not able to because text was getting cut. I reduced the font size to very small and completed the step and changed it back to normal. It is working perfectly for me. Also, Tablet talk app is not free. It is generally used by people who want to receive calls on tablet from their phone, i.e. all calls coming on phone being pushed to tablet via bluetooth or wifi like calls are pushed in car stereo via bluetooth.

Iwalk is just a fitness app. It has got nothing to do with syncing or connecting watch with phone. It jUST records the number of steps, that too it does not do well.

Somebody please tell me how to charge its Bluetooth headphones...because once if i connect it with my laptop its red led turns off within few mins and in instruction manual its mentioned that led keeps turned on while charging and becomes blue after fully charged...mine is not doing soo...any solution???

Can some one help me understanding how to use iConnect.
I downloaded and its of no use. It hangs with the QR Code screen.
Every time I tap on iWalk icon, it says "App not installed". What does it mean ?

kawal singh, 03 Dec 2015can we zoom in the images in this watch....????yes we can, but whats the use really of zooming. Screen and resolution is too small to enjoy pictures on this, but camera is not that bad. You can transfer pictures via mail or shareit quickly and see them on some other device.

Shivakant, 02 Dec 2015People say that we can install app from google app but ... moreWell, not all playstore apps would work on it, but the ones I am using absolutely fine are Tablet Talk, Shake, BigFont(change font size), Youtube, Share it, Llama. I installed them, Plus Maps, Gmail preinstalled works great. I am sure when I will be needing some app, most probably it will work fine.

You are right, to use this device as a primary phone you need a proper bluetooth headset, the one that was shipped is pretty much useless.

Charging deck works properly, I did not have much issue. Once set, it is set. I never needed any extra support. Deck is just fine.

People say that we can install app from google app but

Google playstore application are not created for small screen like this and there is no way you can change orientation so to play a game and to capture a image we have to remove the watch

I wrote 10ns of mails to intex and they never replied me any of my mail regarding a manufacturing issue

If you buy this watch you cannot use it as a primary phone of yours plus always carry a bluetooth , the bluetooth provided with it is shit

The watch screen always stays black and in order to see time you have to tap and wait for a second to see the time , some time the tap does not works at all , you will feel redeculus while walking on road and tapping screen .

The strap is not perfect as the pins get losse very easily . This watch is not at all designed for regular use

Worst thing is the charding deck which will never work if you dont use any support and bind the watch around it

Try jogging and app also somewhat works fine. Gives you the number of steps correctly. You can use a better app like runtastic or something and it should work fine.

To change watch faces, there are not many, but you can go to 'Lock Screen' icon.

I know what you are talking about and intex people are basically idiots, but now that you own the device, I can suggest you use something like Tablet Talk or Google Voice, GrooveIp with IFTTT or some other workable solution. You can take advantage of the device as it is a fully functional Android. So yes, phone and watch can be synced together for calls and almost everything using the right apps. That's what I am doing and I have no issues as such, but yes, intex people are basically idiots to sell good enough hardware with really bad software.

As I posted before, my device had to be arrived before 4th, but it reached me on 28th november. I was expecting little slower delivery from ebay, but it was fine.

Now Talking about the device ~

Looks --
I ordered a black one and it looks fairly good, nothing like a toy, a solid device. Buttons look and work fine, strap is also fine. Little bulky, but not too bulky. It looks fine on your wrist.

Display is good enough. I thought touch will be little laggy, but not at all. It is smooth and snappy. I never had any issue at all with the touch. I have installed some apps like youtube, gmail and some other usual android apps, they are workable enough. I just wanted to get proper notifications of mails and if I want to read full mail, I should be able to and I can. With typing possible, but little difficult, I can reply back too, a better solution is using the voice typing to reply, google now or voice typing via keyboard or I can reply from my phone also. Also, some sliding keyboards work great on it, not all, but some do work.
I watched some videos on youtube, they looked fine and its inbuilt speaker is also okay. I also used Shareit on it to receive some stuff from my mobile and it worked fine. Receive button was getting cut a little bit, but it worked the way it should.

Battery --
Battery back up of irist watch is really good. I have my device connected to my phone via bluetooth. It has internet connection working via wifi and receiving phone network. With all this turned on, it easily lasts more than 2 days. To fully charge the device, it took me less than 1 hour while using a good charger. I have another charger, it charges everything little slow. With 2 Amp charging power, it does not take more than 1 hour from 3-4 % to 100%.
Charging dock is okay. It slips away easily, but once set, it is not a problem. It stays connected properly.

Maps --
Maps applications works the way it does on any android device. It is customized for its small display and it can assist you finding directions. Device having its own gps makes sense.

Pedometer --
I tried using pedometer app to walk a few steps around my home, but it did not record any data. When I used the app for jogging, it worked fine. Stock app is crap and useless. I feel a proper app will work way better with pedometer. Pedometer works, but maybe its sensitivity needs to be tweaked according to the kind of activity because something that works for walking, maybe gets too sensitive for running or jogging. There are apps like runtastic, accupedo and others that can be used to changed the sentivity and other stuff. I have't used any as such as of now, but I feel hardware is there and it will work fine with good fitness apps. I felt the app was very bad, but it also works fine with jogging for me.

Camera --
I think camera of the device will be used only when you have nothing else around to take picture. 5mp is good enough to take decent pictures. It takes good pictures in good daylight, but they cannot be seen properly on its small 240*240 screen.

Other features --

- I saw in its features list that it is dust and water resistant, so just like that I washed the watch while washing my hands and it is working. ;p. So, this is also good that you can take it out while it is raining. I am wondering can I wear it inside swimming pool? I won't try that.. I guess.

- Bluetooth headset that came along look good and they sound okay, but its battery does not last longer than 30-40 minutes. Calling works, but what's the use really. It is a copy of QY7 which costs Rs2500 in the market. Lookswise, it is a good copy, but what is the use really. It does not last long enough to be useful. Its sound quality is better than the Rs500 earphones I am using from Philps, but if there is no power, what's the use? I will try once more, charge it fully using the good charger, but I am sure, it will not last longer. Good bluetooth earphones powerback up is around 5hours of music or a week of standby. This thing is no good.

- Voice assistant app is another shitty app preinstalled. Bad that we cannot remove them out of the device. I have made a folder on the screen for junk apps and I keep all useless together under that title. I use google voice search and it does all the work for me. It works smoothly and I really like using it. I hardly have to type anything with it. I tried to find a setting with which I can launch the voice search anytime, even while I am using some other app, but could not find those settings which are there on many android devices.

I want to launch the voice search quickly and for that I found a solution. I use an app called Shake. We can set horizontal or vertical shake for performing an action, such as launching an app, I set it as launch Voice search. We can also set the sensitivity of the shake and all that. I works great for me. So, google now, voice search is the real good assistant to be used with the device. It makes all the work so easy on this device.

- Device works smooth and we can install a lot of apps on it just like any other android device and I like it. Most apps work with it, some have a problem with text getting cut. I use an app called BigFont(Change Font Size) and it makes the text so small that functions that were not working because of getting cut, can work.

- It is not a smartwatch to be precise, but it is basically a watch phone. An android phone fitted into a watch's body. But, it can be used as a smartwatch. It comes stocked with an app called iconnect to connect phone with it and sync, call logs, messages, contacts, but this app is not good enough. It works, but it does not show real time calls on it.
I was using an app called Tablet Talk to get my phone calls on my tablet and messages. I purchased the app for Rs180 and I use it with this watch too. So, when I get the calls, my watch rings real time and I can cut the call or pick the call using the bluetooth headset. Picking up button does not work on the watch, The real time calling on the phone works great and serves the purpose so in a way it is working as a smartwatch as well. They are basically idiots to provide the hardware, but not enough software solution for simple things to work simply. This real time calling function is not a big deal. It works in all bluetooth car stereos so what's the big deal with a fully functional bluetooth android. That app iconnect is not good enough, but being able to be notified real time while someone calling is possible with Tablet Talk. You may need that BigFont app to configure Tablet Talk on your device.

Overall, I am happy with what I got. It's battery is great. It works great. I like it. Once set, it functions properly.

I wont say that the device is bad , but never buy any product from an indian mobile manufacturer as they dont know anything about service at all , all they will say that just submit the device and they will research on it , i am going to file a consumer forum complaint and i would love you people to join me and ask claim from the company shivakant123@mail.com

I have ordered the irist watch for Rs 7,999 from eBay. It will arrive before 4th November. I will update as soon as I test it. Looking at the features, it seems a good toy, but reading the opinions of other users I feel am I making a mistake? Anyway, I will buy it, why will it not work, I don't see a reason. Let's see.

The Biggest Mistake - I have committed and Suggest you to Avoid this. Never Ever Buy This Watch.
I have been using this for a month so.
When I put the watch on charge, it now takes 8+ hours to charge 100%. The charging base is the worst Design I have come across so far. The support from iNTEX is the WORST - never reverted. iConnect app for syncing watch with phone is the BLACK TRUTH.

eBay is another most difficult character to handle. No ownership, No accountability, Absolutely just a market building made up of brick and mortar - cleaver marketing trapping tricks.

Would you like to eXperiment ? I would never suggest this to the enemy even.
