iPad (2025) debuts with A16 chip, but no Apple Intelligence
Apple announced its new iPad Air (2025) models, and they are joined by an all-new eleventh-generation baseline iPad. Like its Air counterparts, the new iPad (2025) gets a minor spec bump and the same basic design as its predecessor from 2022.

iPad (2025) gets a binned version of the Apple A16, which made its debut in 2022 with the iPhone 14 Pro series. The A16 inside the iPad (2025) features one less CPU and GPU core. Apple did not provide the RAM amount, but given that the device will not run Apple Intelligence, it’s safe to assume it is less than 8GB RAM. Base storage now starts at 128GB which replaces the 64GB trim from the tenth gen iPad.

The only other new addition is Bluetooth 5.3, which replaces the 5.2 spec on the previous tenth gen iPad. The rest of the spec sheet includes an 11-inch 60Hz IPS LCD Liquid Retina display, dual 12MP cameras and a Touch ID sensor integrated into the power button.
iPad (2025) comes in Silver, Blue, Pink, and Yellow. The 128GB Wi-Fi-only base model starts at $349/€399/£329 while the version with cellular connectivity is $499/€569/£479. Deliveries start on March 12.

The 256GB version is $450. Meanwhile, you can get Apple refurbished (which is basically new in white box) of 256GB M1 iPad Air for $500 from Apple themselves. That kinda tells you the margins Apple has on their stuff, ultra thick… LOL

It's the same price as the 2018 iPad. No-one points that out lmao

The exclusion from Apple Intelligence is a weird choice. After September when Apple discontinue the iPhone 15, this will be the only Apple iDevice without Apple intelligence support, and it’s baffling.
