iPhone 11, SE (2020) and XR also lose in-box chargers and EarPods

Michail, 14 October 2020

Yesterday Apple unveiled its first iPhones to come without a power adapter or earphones in the box. The new iPhone 12 models ship with a USB-C to Lighting cable and that's that and we now learn that thechange has been carried over to older models sold by Apple as well. From now on iPhone XR, iPhone 11 and iPhone SE (2020) units will only come with a USB-C to Lightning cable and no power adapter or EarPods in the box.

The only exception is France, where you will still get the EarPods bundled with all available iPhone models currently up for sale. This is all due to local accessibility laws which require phone manufacturers to provide a headset in their retail package.

To partially offset the change Apple discounted the price of its EarPods by $10, taking them down to $19 apiece and matching the price of the new 20W power adapter. Check out all the new accessories Apple unveiled yesterday. The iPhone 11 ($599) and XR ($499) also received discounts following the 12 series announcement.

I have never been so upset with a company such as Apple …have purchased Apple products for years and now they get cocky and money grabbing!!!… by not including the USB wall charger and ear buds …it isn’t like the phones are cheap…to me it is like buy...

Is the price still the same compared to when there's an adapter and earpods included?

They are still including a usb lighting cable, so I don’t know why everyone is so upset.
