Apple iPhone XR gets a massive discount in India
The iPhone XR was launched in India with a base price of INR76,900 ($1,117). Six months later it has received an impressive discount of INR17,000 ($247) in the country.
The Apple iPhone XR will be available at a discounted price in India starting tomorrow, and those who have HDFC Bank's debit/credit card will get an additional 10% cashback, thus resulting in a total discount of up to INR24,500 ($356). You can check out the table below for detailed pricing.
Model | MRP | Price for non-HDFC Bank customers | Price for HDFC Bank customers |
---|---|---|---|
64GB | INR76,900 ($1,117) | INR59,900 ($870) | INR53,900 ($783) |
128GB | INR81,900 ($1,190) | INR64,900 ($942) | INR58,400 ($848) |
256GB | INR91,900 ($1,335) | INR74,900 ($1,088) | INR67,400 ($979) |
iPhone fans in India are in for a treat as they can now buy the iPhone XR for as low as INR53,900 ($783) instead of having to spend a similar amount on buying an older iPhone.
This move should also help the Cupertino-based tech giant to boost the sales of its smartphones in India where it has really struggled lately.

I think this phone should be priced around 500USD. It's initial price is crazy high even at a discounted price, it's still not a reasonable choice atleast objectively.

I agree with you in some case, such as Samsung Android improve its security. But most of all, iOS win over native Android, and win absolutely over modified Android.

it's not judging, it's criticizing... Well, the price doesn't match the specs, and Apple doesn't care about their customers.. all they care about is to slit their pockets.. that iphone xr should be priced at $400 max
