iQOO 12 specs leak again, this time including display details

Vlad, 08 September 2023

The iQOO 11 launched back in December of last year, and its successor is already in the works. So far we've heard that the iQOO 12 would use the OmniVision OV50H sensor for its main rear camera, a 1/1.28" size 50 MP sensor with 1.2µm pixels. Then, rumor had it the iQOO 12 would ship with a 64 MP periscope zoom camera with the OmniVision OV64B sensor.

Today, these specs have once again been reiterated by the prolific Digital Chat Station from China. He adds some new, previously undisclosed information about the iQOO 12 too. For example, the fact that it will have a "2K" resolution E7 OLED display (read: QHD) with 144 Hz refresh rate.

The phone is also said to sport a metal frame, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, and 200W wired charging support for a "super large battery".

According to other rumors, the iQOO 12 is expected to land in international markets sometime during the first quarter of 2024, so from January and until the end of March. It should have four cameras in total on the back, aside from the already leaked ones there is also going to be an ultrawide and a 2x-3x zoom camera. Past leaks also claimed the phone would be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

Please note that there's some confusion currently as to how many models will be called iQOO 12, and it looks like it could be two - a 12 and a 12 Pro. In that case, everything you read above pertains to the Pro model.

I don't like how oneplus devices look tbh, but other than that they are good devices. Lots of my friend have them though.
