Just bought itel p55 5g recently and I've realized that the battery is draining faster than my previous phone itel s23. I've turn on power saver mode on, limited brightness, airplane mode on, location off, and restricted apps but it's still draining fast.

Itel please fix the overheating issues while charging, and the stutter while using gesture navigation.
Aside from that, it's a good device for it's price.

Lohas81, 05 Mar 2025i want to buy this phone for editting on kinemaster or capc... moreI tried video editing on this one, and it's not the best. I would suggest getting a cheap laptop for video editing since mobile phones are not the way to go for that kind of work.

anna, 10 Feb 2025how is the 5g connection? does it fall to 4g often? does it... morethat mostly happens because of your carrier using 5g nsa network instead of using the full 5g sa network. nsa is still based on 4g so it will sometimes drop to 4g if the 5g nsa network is unreliable. however, 5g sa is entirely new technology so it isn't based off 4g.

I wrote this comment with my itel P55 5G. And
.. yeah it's a pretty good performance focused phone. Ofc, with the D6080 inside. There are many drawbacks/catches. The camera, display, battery life, software are very decent.
There is no promise for OS upgrades of this phone from itel Indonesia. but for me... That's totally okay. And i just got the security patch only. So yeah, 'Just let them grow gradually'
Oh and i used this phone for like a year already? I bought this in February 2024
I don't know, but i always thought that if the manufacturer is focusing more at hardware department, the software maybe not too great or cutting edge the price tag and vice versa. And this phone is a great example of it.
No NFC, 90 hz is not the '90 hz' we all knew (but it's not laggy), 6/128 is so-so, charge at 18W, build quality feels cheap.
ofc they need to cut some corners and i try to not being so neat picky, if you want all of those crazy stuffs you could grab midrange or flagship devices. And i think the D6080 is their most expensive item that they can put inside this phone.
The genshin/honkai star rail/honkai impact 3. I set all of them at medium 30 fps settings, with a little tweaks and it is still quite playable, because by limiting the fps. It could reducing the heat and i could play those games much longer.
with this price tag, at least in my country. Is the most cheap new 5G smartphone at around 100 euros? Or 100 dollars? i can't calculate them accurately.
Overall, price to performance of hardware is very great for the price, i can multitask quite fluid and open the apps pretty quickly for this sort of price range. But the drawbacks are quite 'Critical' too. So you could think about the drawbacks before buying this phone. I bought this phone for future proofing, since my country's 5G coverage is very Small and limited.
And remember, this is a budget phone. Also, There are very little amount of old flagships that exists in my country, Indonesia. So i'm not really comfortable to buy a used phone. Even though it might offers much more better specs and software than this. That might be one of the reasons of why am i bought this phone.
So, if you're on a very tight budget, doesn't often rely on NFC, you want a fast chip inside that also supports 5G, gaming on a budget, accepting the mono speaker with quite weak clarity/clearness, not so good viewing angles, okay with bluish screen color at default settings, decent camera and not very prioritizing on software features.
This phone might be for you... But always consider the other phone that are available in this price range. Maybe you can get much better phone than this, at this price point? Who knows?
So... Hope this help!🙌

If you ever buy this phone, and you want to play heavy games like genshin or wuwa or any games, that is heavy, i recommend you to unlock the bootloader and change the system to crdroid, this will make your phone atleast 70x faster, but if you play heavy games make sure thta you use a phone cooler,
This is optional btw, i did this on my itel p55 and i didn't regret it, best decision ever.
Wait im. Not forcing you to do it, im saying its optional

Golden, 17 Jan 2025The issue, I am having with itel p55 5g is that it charging... moreTry using a slower charger coz using a fast charger will make the phone charge faster thereby causing the phone to heat up which drains the battery fast.
It's like operating your cellphone under the hot sun,it'll likely make your cellphone battery drain faster than normal
