vivo vice president Jia Jingdong posted about a major event on March 26 that will bring the vivo Pad3 Pro tablet and the vivo TWS 4 buds – and he made the post from a vivo X Fold3 Pro.

Let’s start with the foldable first. The vivo X Fold3 Pro is expected to be the first foldable with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This is confirmed by Geekbench results for “vivo V2337A”. The phone was equipped with 16GB of RAM and was running OriginOS 4 (Android 14).

That part is not official yet, but the company did share photos from the phone that show off its skills at multiple focal lengths – 23mm for the wide camera, 55mm and 70mm shots and longer 140mm and 234mm photos from its periscope. Note that these images were resized and compressed by Weibo.

Now, vivo is calling this the “X Fold3 series” and there will be a vanilla model too. It is supposed to have a triple 50MP camera – wide, ultra wide and 2x tele – while the Pro model will also feature a 64MP periscope. The Pro is also supposed to be vivo’s first dust and water resistant foldable. The vanilla X Fold3 will be powered by the older Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, judging by Geekbench results.

Moving on to the tablet and buds, those were described in detail by Jia Jingdong. The vivo Pad3 Pro will be powered by the Dimensity 9300 (as seen in Geekbench results) and will feature a large 13” 144Hz display with “3.1K” resolution with stylus support (vivo Pencil2). It will run on an 11,500mAh battery and will be equipped with a 8 speakers. There will be a optional keyboard cover.

The vivo TWS 4 will feature 55dB Active Noise Cancellation (powered by AI) that handily beats the 49dB ANC of the vivo TWS 3 Pro. The buds will be built on the Qualcomm S3 audio platform and will have a gaming mode with latency as low as 44ms. The buds will weigh 4.8g each and will deliver up to 11 hours of uninterrupted play time with the case bringing the total to 45 hours.

I'm sure they used the best of the batch and spiced up the images a bit for this release, but Vivo's cameras have been pretty good in the last 2-3 years. These images look good, but I don't see anything game changing. Some of the color...

It feels more like they took thousands of shot or optimized the software just for those shots and then took the shot. After that they did some AI editing for the details. Otherwise I kinda believe them, these shots are great but any phone above 600 u...

The shot of the ant at 140 mm and the structure at 70 mm are just things of beauty. To think that foldables can take these shots makes me think within 3 years foldables would be commonplace.
