why do we need a whole new OS? if the apps and the HW are android, why not just create an elaborate android skin and be done with it? by the end of the day, this is what it is- a glorified android skin...

have the old symbian 808. wanted to buy a new phone. as one guy said android is a good OS but too many spys.wp8 is still in beta and iphone is very expensive. i want to have the built quality of 808/n8 with a modern symbian without spy code for a fair price. i guess many old nokia fans would buy such phone. i don't play games on my phone. good phone functions like symbian, good maps, good camera and loudspeaker and good writing style and a good email machine and organizer. if Jolla can deliver this they would have good business. i'm waiting now.
