June security update hitting Verizon Galaxy Note5 and S6 edge+

Himanshu, 17 June, 2016

Verizon has started rolling out a new update to Samsung Galaxy Note5 and S6 edge+ units on its network. The update bumps the software version of the devices to N920VVZW2BPF2 and G928VVZW2BPF2, respectively.

The update brings along latest Android security patches to both phones. Nothing else seems to be included in the update this time as the official change-log only says "the current software update gives you the most up to date Android security patch on your device."

As is usually the case with OTA roll outs, it may take some time for the update to hit your device. Meanwhile, if you feel impatient, you can manually check for the update by heading to your handset's Settings menu.
