It's selling like hot cake...demand is so huge that mmx is unable to provide ample stock to dealers,that's why some dealers r charging upto 17k...still people r crazy to buy it. I think u've taken a good decision. Snadeal has quick service so hope u'll get delivery by 2mmorow,bye the way congratulation 4 ur canvas hd and dn't forget to share ur user experience.

AnonD-118603, 02 Apr 2013The main drawback of s4 play cheap is having weak gpu(adre... moreCancelled my order of titanium s5 and booked my first love Micromax canvas HD from snap deal.com as all of a suddenly canvas HD started showing with the available status and a promise to ship within 24 hours. Got a confirmation too that my phone is shipped and will get delivered either tomorrow or day after tomorrow. Super fast decision and result is visible too, isn't it? I always wanted to buy canvas HD at the first go but due to it's unavailability, I decided to go with Karbonn titanium s5. Spent a little more 14990/- but I am still satisfied as I checked in one of the retail stores and they are selling canvas HD for 16500/- . Now The mrp on canvas HD is Rs 17490/- and it seems as if the prices will not go down as micromax is saying that they have just increased Rs 500/- more and now the phone will be available for Rs 14490/- but I don't think so that will happen soon. Rather, I am sure that the prices will go up as canvas HD had got everything you can expect from a smartphone and can easily be compared with the high end branded quad core smartphones.

The main drawback of s4 play cheap is having weak gpu(adreno 203), so big hd games containing heavy graphics won't play...also playin 1080p hd video would be horrible as resulation is limited upto 720p...and last but nt least s4 play based on old cortex a5 while mt6589 is on cortex a7(cortex a7 is most power efficiency).so in my opinion if u r games freak then never go with it, better go with any mt6589 powered smartphone,b'coz its gpu(powerVR SGX544) is as powerful as cpu.... It's the same gpu used in apple iphone5 and samsung galaxy s4...so almost all games would play smoothly.karbonn s1 titanium review would be posted 2morrow on gogi.in.i'll update u 2morrow....umi x2 only available on their website but soon available in delhi through androidguruz http://www.gogi.in/androidguruz-exclusive-retailer.html nt sure abt online store like flipkart/snapdeal etc when get listed x2.there another alternative like canvas hd,xolo q800,gionee dream d1,zopo 810/910...there r many more.pick up according to ur requirement

Now, as Jay said that in some of the older reviews Mediatek so far ahead in terms of performance as compared to qualcomm snapdragon S4 play (I am sure that this is going to be the processor as the other two PROs are expensive)how bad would that be be the Karbonn Titanium S5? I mean that now people are aware of what are they buying (in terms of hardware). Karbonn is so sure of this handset that they have even declared that they would sell over 5 million handsets by the next financial year but after going through this review I am sure that many peope like me will start thinking again. I am using Micromax Canvas 2 and I am extremely happy with the performance infact it plays everything and I often tease my younger brother who has HTC one x+ that tell me one your phone has which my phone doesn't?( No comparision at all though) but I installed a big game like dead trigger yesterday and it's running super fine in Canvas 2. Now, basis on that, I am assuming that Qualcomm snapdragon should be able to play such games. I mean, it's a QUADCORE chip in the end ;) What do you think that hopw bad the experience going to be for the buyers of this Titanium S5? I compromised on HD display with it's QHD display but I am not ready to compromise on the performance and dude, we need people like you with the thorough knowledge of the domain who can advice genuinely to the world which further helps in taking a decision. So,THE BOTTOM LINE..TITANIUM S5 IS A BIG NO FROM YOUR END AS IT'S A QUADCORE JUST FOR THE NAMESAKE AND WON'T BE ABLE TO PERFORM LIKE ONE? I have not even seen a single video of Titanium S1 even. Except, one guy from Gujrat did the video review of Titanium S1 (where are our tech freaks!!!!)..I mean, if he can manage Titanium S1 then what about the other big names??HUH!Anyways, Where else can I purchase a chinese UMI x2 easily. I know it's available on their website but then you will not be able to order it from there and they don't take call as they say, "all their customer service reps are busy and they have noted down our number and will call back" but they don't. Also, they have given another number which can be added on whatsapp but even they don't reply there. Now, please suggest what to do and from where to buy? I have even ordered "Sandisk Mobile Ultra 16 GB 30 MB/s (Class 10)" for my new phone (LOL.....wondering which one would that be now). Tombraider, I am about to cancel my Titanium s5 on the basis of your recommendation. You want to add anything to that? Anyone else guys????

Snapdragon msm8225 and msm8625 is a dual core variant of msm8225q and msm8625q respectively(q 4 quad core) and it was released last year and it has adreno203. Karbonn a21 and lava xolo a500 powered by the same SoC.

U think m manupulating karbonn...sorry dude...m nt an agent of any particular brand or nt hate karbonn any more. M just explaining the fact n try to help people to invest wisely their hard earned money. Karbonn is nowhere in quad core race...if they will come with some good device then certainly i'll sugest people to have it.

Although they have nt mentioned which particular SoC they r using in s5...but i think it should be snapdragon s4 play....nt s4 pro or s4 prime. B'coz s4 pro and s4 prime is costly SoC and u can find it only on high end (flagship) device. So it's ur money....invest where u want....but in my opinion either u should wait for a review( at least unboxing and hand on review) or just go with another better alternative.

Now, as I have booked this phone too, I started searching for titanium s5 review all over the net but found the copy/paste boring content everywhere. Just a question that how come you are so sure about the processor this phone has got? I mean as far as I know, no one had unboxed this phone till today. Is it just because Titanium S1 has got the same processor or do you have any proof? Asking you this question because there are rumors that karbonn will ship S5 with mediatek mtk 6589 processor. If that's not the case then I'd rather cancel my order and will buy some good Chinese quadcore phones like Jiayu or Umi x2. Please advice what to buy if not titanium s5. I can spend up to Rs 14,000/-

I think there some error it should be adreno 203....as of nw we have seen adreno130,adreno200,adreno200 advance,adreno203 adreno205,adreno220,adreno225,adreno305 and adreno320 but never heard about adreno230...and upcoming version 'll be call adreno420 would debut next year. Here's source http://www.qualcomm.co.in/products/snapdragon and http://www.qualcomm.eu/products/snapdragon these both site clearly show it should be adreno203 nt adreno230.bye the way u can also check ur system info to confirm whether it is adreno 203 or adreno230.

As for brand-consciousness is concerned, MediaTek is amongst the world's largest Semi-conductor makers of the world which manufactures its own chipsets for PCs (Sound, LAN cards, etc.) and Mobiles. If you think why HTC and Samsung dont use them, its there headache, but FYI Sony is going to release a phablet based on MT6589 SoC (checkout GSMArena News for the same). Just beacuse some giver you better hardware at a cheaper price doesnt make them cheap. The branded companies like Sony, etc put this MSM8225Q Soc in thier low-end phones, whereas Karbonn is putting them in its flagship. Companies like Samsung, LG use Snapdragon S4 Pro or 800 SoC in their flagship phones which is 10 times more powerful then one used by Karbonn in S1/S5. See the Difference here. And Mediatek chipsets are used by Acer, Alcatel (French), BLU, Lenovo, etc. Its a rising brand which gives better value for money than Qualacomm.

here, you'll find that Karbonn Titanium S1 uses S4 Play MSM8225Q SoC, hence can be assumed that S5 also uses the same as s1 is 4.5 inch variant and S5 5 inch variant and they both hail from same series. (Similar case, Karbonn A21 and A9+, both from its dual core series, used S4 play SoC.)

Below is link where it shows... moreAs per info available on Qualcomm's site ( http://www.qualcomm.com/snapdragon/processors/s4/specs ), and comparing it with info available on Wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snapdragon_(system_on_chip) ), Karbonn Titanium Series(S1 and S5)uses Snapdragon S4 Play MSM8225Q SoC variant which uses Adreno 203 GPU (hence support upto only 8MP camera and 720p video rec.). Adreno 230 is used in MSM8225 (not MSM8225Q) and MSM8625 SoCs which will come-out in 3rd Quater of 2013. Qualcomm is a recognised brand, no doubt, but Mediatek is one on the world's largest chipset manufacturing company. It is reliable since even Sony is going to use MT6589 SoC in its mid-range smartphones ( http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_working_on_5inch_midrange_device_with_mediatek_chip-news-5779.php ). Dont just blindly follow brand-names, make sure you get the best hardware for what you pay, and not just buy "brand-named" goods.

for all those WP8 fanboys out there...let me tell u wp is the worst os that one can ever come across ..i mean its got a great UI and very very attractive display but thats all that there is to it...the OS doenst even have basic features to its credit like call categorization, call duration, no flash message support for prepaid connections etc...and most of the shortcomings cant be overcome through apps and there are not many out there on the windows store..i used one and lost it recently...and i am glad that i actually lost it...the battery is worse and the NOKIA brand doesnt help either...as long as the basics are not set wp will always remain as an 'also ran'

I have also bought this phone. Below is link where it shows the GPU is Adreno 230 which should be quite good. no sure about this.

But in all these processors are used by all big brands so must be good.
