Those both chipset coupled with powerful adreno 305(gpu) that can play 1080p video with ease and u can also record video in full hd(1080p) and can play almost all hd games.these chip r so expesive that u can't aspect it on entry level budget smartphone...and one important thing those chips r designed only for chinease market. It't nt worth to pay 12k for weak hardware....in my opinion lava xolo q800 is way better than s5 at the same price. Lava xolo q800 is powered by mediatek mt6589 SoC based cortex a7 architeture( the most power efficiency chip) coupled with powerVR SGX544 GPU...the same gpu used in iphone5.

What is the role of GPU in a phone please elaborate. Currently I am using Nokia 5800 and am very much impressed after looking at its feature. Please advise if it is worth buying it?

[deleted post]dude S5 doesnt come with a dedicated GPU like canvas hd....ADRENO is nothiing as compared to powervrsgx544 on canvas hd....adreno 200 comes in samsung galaxy ace too....i have ace....such a dumb phn....no high eng graphics game cAN be played....so dont even think about it ,karbonn S5's gpu (adreno __) can't match with canvas hd gpu in terms of high end gaming like gta3, nova3, lords of glory....and much more( more than 1gb memory games)...THINK BEFORE POSTING ANYTHING ON GSMARENA

!.2 ghz qualcomm snapdragon means , adreno 220 or adreno 305 gpu .

Whatever the current specifications are.. reading them I feel that its worth buy and I ordered one.
I actually wanted to buy Micromax A116 but waiting for it since Feb 14th and even now Micromax has no stocks. I am afraid if they actually even have the stock in hand or simply fooling the mobile buyers.
So finally Karbon has taken my thumbs. I was eagerly waiting to buy a QuadCord Phone and bought Karbon S5 as there's no stocks available with Micromax for their A116 model.
Very disappointed with Micromax.

Every device in this world that has a display has to have a GPU, GPU stands for Graphics Processing Unit. With this Processor it would not be able to display anything on the screen, now the unit would also contain high end Graphics displaying character which enables gaming and also in some instances 3D graphics too.

No Moron in this world will release a QUADcore Smartphone without GPU!
I think,GSM arena doesnt have sufficient info on this phone.
The bad part is all online shopping site copy pastes this info table in their site!

I think this has Qualcomm Snapdragon proven processor, so definitely worth taking
