I have purchased q800 3rd of April and the phone is up and running buttery smooth. for the specs,the h/w of the fone contains--
1) 1 GB RAM, Quad Core 1.2Ghz ARMv7 Cortex A7 processor
Overall quality benchmarks: [[ Qudrant standard total-- 3980(almost 4000), AnTuTu bechmark- 13000, 3D Mark Benchmark - 3860/10000,
Linpack single core -- 37, dual core -- 98 ]]
2) GPU is 600Mhz PowerVR SGX544
Graphics Quality Benchmark--- Nenamark--- 53.9fps (in most budget android of similar range you do not get more than 40fps)!!
3) Build Quality is average (oversized iPhone design i would say hands-on # back-side rubberish matt finish,not glossy)
4) On such (continuous,no standby) usage, battery lasts for about 17hours -- [[ 2.5 hrs of talktime, 30 mins of gaming, 1 hour of HD video shoot and still photographs, 4 hours of MP3 plyback and 2 hours of video playback, 2 hours of total 3G net browsing)
5) Apps and games can be installed in the External SD memory card, as there is an option for "Preferred Installation Location" in the "Storage option" ## "NO ROOTING REQUIRED" ... very few devices have this option inbuilt. 4 GB internal memory (1 + 1.7 = 2.7 GB usable by user and rest 1.3 is system-reserved) ... expandable upto 32GB via External SD.
6) Its qHD IPS resolution, viewing angles are very nice, UI is snappy- zero lags in apps throughout this 1 month at least. Browsing is absolute fun (my personal usage is mainly on 3G browsing, and i find it amazingly smooth and crisp) there is "swype" or gesture typing.
7) It weighs ~140gms and thickness(slimness) is ~ 9.5mm.
8) Coming to the Cam (rear 8mp) quality--- it beats my DSC wx50 cybershot n coolpix in sharpness n vividness... it has a CMOS n BSI sensor...set the "Anti-flicker" mode to "60Mhz" and "Image properties" to "high" and in video shoot, set it to "fine" mode.. n of course select the "HDR" mode in which you are advised not to shake the lens to get perfect quality... shoot in 1080p HD. for more sample clicks n shoot qualities see these links: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1BK4z_QIKM AND

It has got a front cm which gives the exact quality of 1mp whic can record 720p quality vids...i've checked in gmail videochat...n all parties reviewed it smooth...

iv) Proximity (touch/hand swipe-song change or wallpaper change)

10) Its running 4.1.2 JellyBean out of the box...and Lava hasnt announced yet, but 4.2update for q800 has already released in the market.
11) Price is just 11,700 in snapdeal or naaptol right now...n it comes with a scratchguard...n a 1yr of OEM warranty.. I got a 1yr theft warranty also with Rs.400 extra on SP.
Cons: its qHD(quarter-HD)IPS display and not full HD (in display) and has a resolution of 960x540 ... so it gets a little down there... n build quality is average --- no other cons watsoevr... i gave my product to servicing coz my SIM got stuck,n got it delivered back within a week frm bangalore stock!!
apart from these inbuilt awesomeness, you can some apps frm google_play like:
i) 2X Battery
ii) Camera360 Ultimate
iii) MX Player (get audio codecs along with it..oh i forgot to mention, the audio playback (continuous) is 22hrs in average (battery).. and it comes with a Yamaha chip which makes it at par in quality and bass with SRS or BeatsAudio or Altec Lansing...)

v) Juice Defender (battery life)
vi) CPU Spy (with this your free RAM enchances upto 700mb!!)
vii) Avast Security (antiVirus & antiTheft)

There are more, but I've already tried with these..my best is Atom Launcher.

For me, there is no other phone that suits your pocket with such extremely compatible and fabulous performance and specifications...

I will say this phone is challenging

Karbonn has progressed from last year they are lacking in accessories but supports all Nokia accessories Bluetooth & headphones
WiFi 3g everything is running smooth...
Glossy finish in back cover makes it silky..
Just buy & encourage karbonn to launch some more awesome phones

Guys using this phone bought from Flipkart got in 2 days(30 days replacement; (true as they say)
Very awesome phone the thing which makes it different from Chinese mobile is the Luks
