KitKat-powered ZTE ZMAX on T-Mobile gets November security update
The ZTE ZMAX was made official for T-Mobile way back in 2014. The phone launched with Android KitKat and never got updated to even Lollipop - yes, it still runs KitKat. However, that hasn't stopped ZTE and T-Mobile from pushing out security updates to the device.
After receiving an Android security update in May, the ZMAX has now started getting November's security patch. Weighing in at over 17MB, the update arrives as software version Z970V1.0.0B35. Going by the size of the update as well as the description on T-Mobile's website, it's safe to assume that nothing else is included in the update.
