Lava Blaze 1X 5G quietly gets official with 6.5-inch screen, 50 MP main camera

Lava made the Blaze 5G official back in October of last year, and then followed it up with a 6GB of RAM edition this February. Now the company seems ready to improve upon the formula even further, with the Blaze 1X 5G.

The new model is already listed by Lava's official website, even though it hasn't been announced during an event - nor through a mere press release.

The Blaze 1X 5G comes with a 6.5-inch 90 Hz 720x1600 LCD display, the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, a 50 MP main camera flanked by two decorative shooters, one 2 MP, one VGA (!), an 8 MP selfie snapper, 6GB of RAM (with support for 5GB of "Virtual RAM"), 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage expandable via microSD card up to 1TB, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 15W charging support - although the in-box charger is 12W.

The phone disappointingly runs Android 12 from 2021. Its dimensions are 165.3 x 76.4 x 8.9 mm and it weighs 207g. It has a fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It will be offered in two hues: Glass Green and Glass Blue.

Compared to the original Blaze, the new model has a marginally smaller screen (6.5" vs. 6.52"), and faster charging capability (15W vs. 10W). Those are the only differences, which makes it a rather puzzling release. There's no price to speak of yet, but we wouldn't be surprised if it went for exactly the same amount as its predecessor, which is currently fetching around INR 12,000 for the version with 6GB of RAM.

I got Android 13 update 2day; Lava blaze 5G

They have promised one extra OS update so they are one par with Motorola and some of the other Chinese companies right now.

seem to be good choice. we don't care about OS updates, if the phone is perfect for 2-3 years then it should be good to go. looks like lava is bringing good phone around:-P
