      seem to be good choice. we don't care about OS updates, if the phone is perfect for 2-3 years then it should be good to go.
      looks like lava is bringing good phone around:⁠-⁠P

        AnonD-1096870, 29 Apr 2023Yes I totally agree it's a shame they couldn't br... moreas far i can remember, they have released lava phones outside india, like indonesia. but it didnt draw much attention because xiaomi took over the budget market at its time.

                R4TM4NN, 28 Apr 20231080p display and Android 13 under 12k would sell like hot ... moreimagine if its gone global, it would compete against galaxy a14 5g in terms of price they offer for sure. though lava would somehow rarely give software updates.

                  you have to suffer, 28 Apr 2023no improvement on display so far, imagine if it has 1080p..1080p display and Android 13 under 12k would sell like hot cakes. Dimensity 700 is definitely a good SoC to this day given the price.

                    Anonymous, 28 Apr 2023They are basically Chinese ODM phones.But Lava is providing with regular updates ( quarterly). They are not beating the drums of Patriotism to sell their phones.
                    Better than Micromax, who claim that their IN series phones are made in India. Micromax promised for 2 years of OS updates and security patches. But they didn't stick to this promise.

                    On other hand Lava didn't go over board in promises, but is silently providing with patches regularly.
                    So I appreciate Lava to some extent.

                      no improvement on display so far, imagine if it has 1080p..

                              Lava has been able to gain buyers trust in this second innings. Now it's time to take a step further.
                              Instead of Android 12, they should start with Android 13 and be at par with other competitors in the segment.

                                What's the point of rerelasing the phone if it doesn't even have the newest android? Someone really needs to do an interview with these executives and ask them this question straight.
