Only 512 MB RAM is very low compared to 8GB INTERNAL storage. There will be lagging problem if upgraded to newer version. Sensors are also low, Accelerometer. Battery backup is also low.

I use Cheers Smart 5 . ROM - 4GB, RAM-512 MB, Battery - 1800 mh, OS - Android v4.2 (Jelly Bean),
Processor - 1.3 GHz, Dual core (MediaTek Chip), Front camera - 2MP , Main camera- 5MP, Sensors -
Accelerometer, Light sensor, Motion Sensor, Proximity sensor.

Now see by yourself a non branded company is offering such features at a price Rs. 2799. Again the durability of any mobile depends on how it is being used.

The only bothering thing in this version of Lava handset is RAM - 512 MB, it must be 1 GB. Again some components of new OS will require more amount of RAM which will create the handset laggy. Again , android lollipop doesn't support Adobe flash player . So any upgrade will remove such fearure in the web browser. This hanset will work better with the current OS.
Think again before buying this coz atleast 1 GB is must.

is anyone successfully update lava iris atom 2 in lollipop version bcoz I click on system update it shows download file of 529.2 mb but it only download 10% then automatically cancelled I tried many times I also use WiFi to download always happen same it automatically cancelled.. so help me what I do

Simply awesome. The Lava Iris Atom 2 really brings out the big guns when it comes to specs. It is equipped with a 5 MP rear camera and runs on Android KitKat v4.4. Although now you can update to Lollipop 5.1 with a FOTA update which brings loads of back-end features and improvements to the phone.

The Lava Iris Atom 2 with its 1.3 GHz Quad Core Processor and 512 MB RAM is a fantastic phone. It looks very stylish with its solid unibody design and metallic side rims. The phone currently runs on Android KitKat v4.4 but can easily be updated to Lollipop 5.1 via FOTA update quickly and considering the price and the specs this phone is definitely worth checking out.
