Never update this phone. Just root your Mobile using Kingroot to avoid unnecessary automatically apps download and Battery drain due to over heating problem. Also don't install any custom ROM. After rooting you can uninstall some useless inbuilt apps in order to free internal memory space and stop misbehaving of phone. I upgraded my lava iris x8 android to 5.1 since then I am facing problems installing some apps That error -504 app not installed.I have a good internet connection and also enough storage.I also had done factory data reset and also tried some solutions which customer care told it hasn't yet worked out.I am so disappointed would never choose this brand again.

i have been using iris x8 since 10 months.It was been good but recently it was started showing low battery backup not even 10hour backup when battery charged 100%.
