I purchase iris x8 fifteen day back but there same problem is not possible to any download to internet any song & any ringtone & other one problem there one application file manager in one opstion phone memery in not any download possible direct download sd card

Not possible to download from internet ect.song.ringtone.instrument ringtone all not possible. & other one not possible download phone memory in file manager I pitches fifteen day back otherwise all good

Pls don't by lava phone.because. 1,; their is no full HD recoding.2,; their is no updates.3;, phone display is always Lines coming in full screen..totally worest phone in India.

In engineer mode -> hardware test-> USB/UART switch, there you switch to UART mode, the phone will be work fine,
The actual problem in here is the corrosion of terminals in our micro USB port, they corroid and get shorted it set, it will give an information as a USB device connected to the phone, so the phone change it self to host mode and doesn't charge.
During switched off the phone doesn't support host function so you can charge.
Actual remedy is cleaning your micro USB port, sometimes the corroid contacts recovered on few insertion and rejection cycles of charger.
Any way now you try with engineer mode settings.

I have no launcher problem, even though I am using nova launcher. Its superb, so many customization, nova launcher is better than stock android launcher.

Please don't purchase lava iris x8 because company promissed its update to lollipop but there are 5 months ago still updates are not available.
Its a fake commitment.
Camera is poor.
Total vantage of money.

Its a good phone and i am using it since last 4 months it has tremendous speed and those who have launcher problem install "solo launcher" from play store. Lava mail me that they will be providing L in Sept for sure.

forget any other bug fixes from lava after the L update, which they are bound to provide. this is already a bug nest and there will be some new ones after the L update that's for sure, and we users will have to live with them till we dispose this phone. for sure lava will forget about irisx8 after they release the L update.

I have buyed it 5 months later They said that it is upgradable to 5.0 lollipop But too much time Gone and there is no Update available Very last one I have buy I think I have to buy Micromax Yu Yureka
My History with Lava is very bad I have tried 3 Phones of lava lava kkt34+ then lava tablet then this x8 kkt34+ screen broken when iwas fallen then tablet got blackscreen and never repaired by Service center then this shit one i was thinking about lolipop so i gave it a try but this lava company is such full with liers i will never Do mistake to buy products from this company Lava .

The possible cause of launcher malfunctions , mainly android 4.4.2 is too crashy.
More,
If you are use some catch cleaner app ( like memory optimizer and ram optimizer) it may delet the catch data for launcher,
Cleaning catch is required only for low ram devices, do not use that kind of app for our devices, cleaning catch slowdowns and results in malfunction of android devices,.
Android has its own ram and catch management activities, k?
But some times needed in that case we select thethe app and clean catch only for it.
