I bought this phone unintentionally and really cheap because I needed a smartphone ASAP. My expectations were very low but it actually does unexpectedly good job! The battery is durable (effortlessly 2 days with wifi on, can go up to almost 3 days if I use it less). Connectivity and speed are fine. A few days ago I dropped it, it fell flat on its screen and doesn't have a scratch!
The only bad thing about it is the shitty camera though. I know 5mp isn't much but I can't believe a phone made in 2015 doesn't even have auto focus. (or is it just me not being able to find it??) I hope this gets fixed at some point...

raj, 02 Feb 2016can we connect to the computer?? how is the camera perform... moreConnection to pc is easy with the usb cable provided.no drivers needed.both cameras are between average to below average but on daily light acceptable.video though is bad.unacceptable

Af, 30 Jan 2016Screen was delay 5 secmine to ,it s not that fast for a quadcore but it does the job considering the price,few restarts now and then,verry pleased with the battery 2 days without a sweat

really a value for money...i'd suggest to go for it...remember one thing no other thing in the world is flawless...be it a gadget or a person!....so, dont judge anything in vague!

shivu, 27 Jan 2016this phone i brought and system update i face same problem ... moreWaiting for new sistem upgrade.Lenovo working hardly to solve this problem.
Another problem is battery, from 100 to 70 percents for 24 hours on standby.
The app from Google Play "Power Button to Volume Button" helps temporary for delay, only tap "Enable" and checking "Boot", "Screen Off" not checked.
The power button is OK.

1) about the lock screen.. me doesnt have any problem in this case.. maximum delay about 2 second only after me turn off the lock screen and eliminate multiple task..
2) i didn't have noticed about the update.. im just bought this Lenovo a1000 on last week, immediately having update in randomly click..
3) I've been experienced owning several budget Lenovo smartphone.. and i don't paid attenton too much on font.. but yeah it seems like your anlogie was correct

I have to say that new update seems to have improved battery life and a little bug that i had spotted on battery consuming of apps. Sometimes an app either called calendar or System android (randomly) appeared first on battery consuming and was fixed only on a new battery cycle (charging to 100%). Now the bug seems solved. Same bug if you search internet occured in nexus and samsung phones, and the same apps appeared to consume battery first on list.
Biozen about screen quality. If you check white on screen do they look smooth or full of noticeable noise like little little dirty spots like a dirty filter is applied over screen? IF not then for sure your phone has a different screen. Mine is very noticeable and disturbing, affects clarity.

I can't Root it.me too.. i think the problem is the chipset that currently used.. spreadtrum chipset rarely used rather than mtk.. i think u should manually root your phone..try getting tutorial on YouTube.. im not done yet because it's really complicated.. as soon you might done, please share your tips and trick here..
