bought this unit a few days ago, i tried to check for updates right away. it took me hours to update it, didnt know that so many apps are included. now it runs in lollipop. it drain my battery faster other than that it work just fine...

I've installed CM Security to replace Security app, and for the battery disabled MTKlogger.
Standby time is ok, but screen time is lower.
and the new feature "waking the phone with volume rockers" is not working.

Have you noticed that it has only 6mp in settings that's supposed to be 8mp? And the secondary camera only has 1mp that's supposed to be 2mp? And the volume rocker wake doesn't work all the time.. Ultra power saver mode is gone too.. And the bloatwares that take so much space are just too many and you can't even uninstall them? Thank you! Peace!

I received android 5.0 update now its battery timing got much better. Touch also got better.

I am also victim of this bul******. I think they have released it mistakenly as their webpage still showing release date as "to be announced" also the day when i download it. Now hoping to get the issues resolved urgently.

I upgraded to Lillipop. Used to love this phone and battery timings. God! It is draining so fast without any reason and Ultra power saver mode is gone!!
Can anyone here please help me to downgrade to Kitkat. Please... :'( Please help me...

I think lenovo wasn't prepared or didn't test this update. My phone get more slow and it lagged often times now, especially when I'm using the internet. Security app was not there too. It was a good app. I don't recommend updating Lollipop version to those who still use kitkat version. Hope that lenovo will fix this bugs. Kitkat version is still the best and efficient version for lenovo a5000

Love this phone 4000mah...great performance better than asus zenfone5(batery drain fast),lenovo tab2 a7(touch problem),lenovo a3000(poor signal)..medium price,power battery,,great preformance...10 thumbs up huhu
