(Note : I also have lenovo A6000. In that phone SIM 2 only have GSM mode with disabled option ..., can't change network mode). So I assume A7000 also same as A6000. Even ASUS Zenfone 2 also SIM 2 limited GPRS/EDGE only ...

The specs say that SIM2 supports 2G. I want to know if it can support EDGE & GPRS since they are not 3G technologies.
In some reviews on other sites it is said that the SIM2 can support 3G also.
I called up the lenovo support center on 18003007678 but they confirmed that the second SIM can support EDGE, GPRS & also HSDPA. This is more confusing as the HSDPA is really a 3G+ technology.

According to some reviews, u can change using sim tool which u need to download...

I'm waiting for the sale to begin.. but before I hit the 'buy' button, I just want to confirm whether the second SIM supports EDGE / GPRS ? These are not really 3G technologies. Any experts who can clarify urgently ??

Almost all 4 new top trending phones- Lenovo A7000, Micromax Yu Yureka, Redmi Note 4G, Huawei Honor 4X has same specs nd all features but thing is what we want in phone like for gaming lenovo is good, for better camera redmi & yu , if doesnt use phone for gaming then yu is good as is heats up soon...Watch this to compare all--

priyansh, 14 Apr 2015yu yreka is the best a7000 is uncomparable with yu.....But it gets heat up .... but in lenovo it does not happn at sudden or little tym play...

The same... moreRoot your phone then download app simtool from google phone n you cud use 3g/4g on sim2 by switching,In my redminote3g also xiaomi mentioned sim2 as just 2g but after upgrading to miui6 KitKat sim2 can be used as 3g!! Probably they didn't want us to know that lol!

Probably xiaomi didn't want us to know this to sell their redmi2 lol!anyway on lenovo toll free number you could confirm that
