SOLVED !!!
I was also facing contacts/call/sms log hanging problem ! sometimes all contacts tab in WhatsApp used to load very slow!
I checked on many forums,
I had a Chat with Lenovo Support team, they suggested to do a factory reset,
I have also been to authorised service center, even they suggested to do a factory reset
But before doing a factory reset I thought to clear all data for Whatsapp (that reset my whatsapp) and since then I am not facing any contact/call log/sms hang issue !!
After Whatsapp reset, its about 5 days I am using my phone but no hang issue
1.
'Backup chats' from whatsapp setting
2.
Settings > apps > whatsapp > Clear Data
(this resets whatsapp, like new installation)
3.
uninstall whatsapp
4.
restart phone, and reinstall whatsapp from google play store
5.
run and sign in to whatsapp, It prompts to restore chat from backup, you can restore if you wish to (I restored)
6.
bang ! done, My contact/call log hang issue gone!, check yours...
P.S.
My all Contacts/account SYNC is ON

Phn have 2gb ram but 1gb ram is occupied by custom rom(lolly pop) so u will get 1gb ram that is preety good . but I would say lenovo is launching a new phn k4 note with upgrade feature in short baap of k3 note. But don't know the price so if u cn wait till 5jan its good just compare the price and go for one phone lenovo phones are trust worth

compare to a 7000 k3 note is better and good.
