Sales no:of Asus Zenfone 5 in India for this 1year is equal to sales of Lenovo A6000 in 3 months..! Can u believe that?
Go to nearest asus service center, it is flooded with mother board damaged Zenfones (only just 2 models!).. And u r blaming zenfone has better quality..?

for that spec, it is one of the best phone at that price range,

About gorilla glass I already explained why it's useless, it doesn't protect that well from scratches or the screen breaking so everyone should buy tempered glass protectors for all phones regardless if they have gorilla glass or not.
