Since you are targeting for 3+ years usage, get a device that has 4GB RAM and possibly 64GB storage. By the third year of ownership, the 4GB RAM (LPPDR3) does not help much...
Just to highlight, by the third year of ownership, Android Pay via NFC will be a common transactions; in which only P2 survives in the next 3 years...

I have read through all details and comparison between lenovo p2 with others phone even look all the videos in youtube. I really like this phone in terms of the battery, performance and so on but I have only one question need to ask
My friends who are working in smartphone department, they truly not recommend Lenovo as for long term use, izit possible this phone can last for 3 years + without issues of lagging or hang? My friend recommends Huawei or Xiaomi are far better than Lenovo, can anyone help? I am going to buy in this week

But p2's camera is not upto the peak but it is far better than rn4. but if you are a heavy gamer and a bulky user you can sacrifice camera and go for lenovo p2. also the camera of p2 is not rubbish. It gives average results in low lighting conditions. also an IR blaster is absent in P2 which is present in rn4. Other than IR blaster everything is awesome about P2. If budget is not a problem then blindly go for P2.

AnonD-663105, 20 Apr 2017Can anyone suggest between p2 and redmi note 4.I think note... morern4 is the best value for money. price for p2 has decreased in india that makes a tempting deal also. for extra price you get something extra which is not negligible such as fast charging, super amoled, better software, 5100mah battery and superior build quality. my recomendation is p2. if you are in tight budget for for rn4. rn4 and p2 has same specs. you should have a look cool1 in india cz it has decent specs.

Finally Bought P2, 20 Apr 2017Would be good if I get my last three questions answered: 1)... more1) Just run OTA update several times until firmware S233. After updated to S233, factory reset once and u can use P2 already.
2) In the phone dialer, type ####2222#. This will give official serial number for the device. Next, use this serial number and the Machine Type Model (found on the box) to register warranty at http://lenovomobilesupport.lenovo.com/my/en/products/phones/p-series/p2-smartphone/warranty
3) Made in India vs Made in China is still an X-File mystery to be solved.

First of all thank you everyone for answering my questions on this phone time to time I was following this phone since it was TENAA certified(Before official launch)...Now I have bought this phone (4GB Ram Variant) and would get it within three days.... I made an order on flipkart(India) for the same....
