Phone is good but tales a lot of time to charge 100%. If you have 4-5 odd hours everyday to charge this phone then you can buy this phone for sure.
Front camera is not great though rear camera play its part well.
HD videos play without any lag.

I can't seem to charge my lenovo P780.
it showed fully charged 100%, when I turned it on, the remaining battery is still 2%.
just bought this a week ago. any info? ASAP

Hey guyz i am planing to buy a dual sim phone under Rs 20000. i have consider this phone but i have heard about panasonic p51 and LG G pro lite dual. plz suggest which one is good in term of performance and other features.

This Phone is amazing with its 8GB version, and it is best among all in its competitions.
The best features are Obviously
a) Long Battery,
b) 8GB Inbuilt Memory.
c) Black Metallic Look,
d) Os with Lenovo Launcher features,
The processor works fine, Games doesn't hang, videos doesn't lag. and etc.
Seriously best with this product in this price range.
I don't have to worry to charge the mobile which on tour outside home.
HATS OFF to this and waiting to check the upcoming Lenovo VIBE, hope that this will make the VIBE in the competent market.

Nesar, 30 Nov 2013P780 is good mobile or no good plez replay extremely substandard phone and more substandard are there very rare and hidden service centre.....and even worse atitude of the company........instead of helping customers whose mobile phones have crashed , the company tried to frustate them so that they run away.....positive reviews here are very doubtful.....nobody canvass so much for a mobile phone.....

[deleted post]yes but amazingly supports landscape option of typing in What's App and other messenger services like websites and facebook etc. I have downloaded TouchPal and that issue is gone even for SMS typing. Boss nothing is perfect but the issues with this great phone r negligible as compared to the features and advantages over other phones available. So just go for it.

Anonymous, 03 Dec 2013i have read many reviews and people say that the gps, wifi,... morenothing is an issue with this amazing phone. everything is perfect. GPS locks within 19 secs every time. display is just great with so many customizing options. no words about the battery. not tested the Wi-Fi yet. picture is no issue, plays full HD videos without any lag now is crystal clear. dual SIM management is also well thought of. very user friendly indeed. however there r some issues but nothing technical.
no cover or scratch guard.
the sms keyboard doesn't have landscape option.
the stock keyboard doesn't have an enter button.
power button on the top
the sim compartment has no provision to easily remove Sims once inserted
anti virus provided is not full version. however works ok
not a dual stand by.

guys believe me this phone is work horse superb battery excellent camera quality best UI & touch. earlier I was using blackberry very pathetic phone I am totally satisfied with dis phone. main feature OTG you can add external storage. mouse keyborad etc.

1 hr & remaning ..... 20 % 1.30hr.....
Only concern is its very expensive........
but its can last up to 3 yrs....

I am from The Arabian Gulf Countries GCC..
I had bought p780 8gb verision..
before a month a go..
Realy.. it is a perfect dual simcard phone for its long life battery..
DONT take any consideration for people who say it can stand 2 or 3 days bla blaa blaa.. etc
It just perfect to use it through a (full day awake) 18 hours only..
Sure.. very heavy use..
Its battery is 100% at 7am morning:
1hour 3G voice call..
2 hours watching videos/movie
4 hours text chatting (whatsapp/line/bbm...etc)..
1hour internet call by (freepp or viber)
1 hour internet call by (skype or tango)
3 hours web browsing..
1 hour music player..
2 hours playing games (funrun/8balls/deadtrigger)..
3 hours standby (close screen/no use)..
All that time the 3G internet is on all the time..
BUT..
I found some problems with the phone such as:
Some times it cant reach th 100 % fully charge just 99% and that takes along time to reach 100%..
Poor cam quality for the front cam and the main cam is avrage..
The signal of the gsm network serviece is average (needs to be near to the gsm tower to get full and perfect coverage..
Lenovo pre-installed internet browser has many advantages but laggy too much..
At all..
I have used :
Samsung galaxy s4
Htc one
Sony experia z
All of them are nothing to be compared with the indurance of lenovo p780..

AnonD-207210, 17 Nov 2013Guys I have been following this forum for this particular p... moreHi, have used xolo 700, samsung quattro n now am using xperia c....let me get the facts clear....at the outset dont go for unbranded phones as have had a bad experience with xolo, samsung quattro, battry is poor and no fun with ui, also e-mailing, specially a corporate account is not too reliable...xp c has brand advantage, good sun light legibility, overall good experience, but certain drawbacks which one will have to get used to, like there is no option to call frm sim 1 or 2, u will have to switch sims always on toggle screen, secondly copy paste functions little inferior to samsung...coming to lenovo, overall features better than all of the above, n not to mention battry backup is outstanding, I have also checked out the phone and found ui quite unique compaeed to other andrpid phones, also some of the featuees r awesome like ome can receive a call by bringing it close to the ear n ringtone plaus louder and resuces as one remoses it frm pocket...the con being, bad sunlight legibility n reflective sceeen, but can only be verified by actually using it. I am only concerned about the after sales service as one needs to be lucky to to get a phone with no niggles, else "God" only save...all de best, happy mobile hunting...

Two months back I brought this Lenova p780 with 8gb internal memory, 32gb expandable and 32gb pen drive support. YeahYeah...!! It is worth of buying it, that's becoz of it's performance is awesome... Before I used xperia P for the past 8 month's, after that I bought this, in the beginning I was upset abt of this camera clarity. Then I realised some camera setup is not properly done. After that I got a gr8t clarity of camera as well as video. Guys pls go for it before going for name board. I'm informing you all who is searching for good mobile with the budget of below 25000/-. Mainly for gr8t smartphone experience with extraordinary battery life also it's still compromising in display 296ppi. Gentle look... Affordable price I brought it for 17,800/- this is greater than Sony battery stamina mode.
