I purchased a Lenovo smart phone in April, 2013. Within 2 months of the purchase the mobile phone developed defect and well within the warranty period of 1 year. Its screen started getting blurred to dead black. The mobile phone was deposited at Delhi service centre (just one service centre in whole of Delhi NCR working strictly as per govt timings ,, 10 to 5, mon to sat) for repair on June2013 which said that its motherboard has some problem and they do not have part. They have to get it from the company and within a week I will get my phone but for THREE months but they have not rectified the defect. Sometimes they say that the motherboard has to come from china ,blah, blah , blah…….also they did not not informed anything about the status nor even responded to mails and it was very difficult to reach them on phone(their customer care line for mobiles cost Rs 2 per min(for other products it is toll free) something that has never been seen till date) .mail written to even md were not responded …………. frustrated and with no other option left I finaaly had to bought a new handset

That's a very objective review of this phone.
Just got mine today morning and would broadly agree with your points. However I got the 8GB version so that partially solves that low Internal memory issue.
I have been using the Mega 6.3 (the other phone that you mentioned) for the past 3 months and compared to that it is still slightly lighter :). And yes the phone did get a bit hot especially while playing games/videos.
Overall i think it is a very good package at this price point with an absolute stand out feature (its battery). Yes it misses some of the features of the flagship and even other better speced phone like Mega 6.3 but then given that it is priced at almost half the price of the Mega 6.3 in India that should be expected.

criticism: low internal memory, long charging time, heavy at hand, touch 8/10 if iphone is 10/10, phone gets heated a little bit... cannot find screen guard nor cover, not the best looking, front camera extremely average....
good things: cheap, great screen, amazing speakers, strong like the old nokia phones, great rear camera with amazing quality and variety of photo options... it can take almost 2 photos every second... extremely great battery life... smart enough with the usb for pendrive cable... overall...
at this price... it wins over each and every phone... only mega 6.3 can defeat it but tis also considerably priced... however it can challenge phone upto28k available in the market...

How much time the battery takes to charge fr... moremy answer for no. 1 question based on my experience using this phone, if you connect the right/provided lenovo charger, it takes about 3hours to full charged..if u're using others charger, it may takes more than 3 hours because the battery capacity is really big and the lenovo charger's output volt made are suitable for the phone...thanks.

3 things
1. How much time the battery takes to charge frm 0 to 100 percent.
2. Too many ppl complaining abt screen flickering and software problems. Pls mention it here n did u tool d matter to lenovo, hows der after sale service n did ur issues got resolved.
3. How much ram os free out of 1 gb, performance with hd games n ds it overheat while gaming.
4. 8 gb model cumin to india? Wen n price diff n do lenovo give updates to its phone or did lenovo gv any update to fix bugs in its software till now.

It does have a geo magnetic built in COMPASS though, at least the chinese version seems to have one.Or is it one of the chinese/export differences too?

I bought this couple of days back after lots of research.This is the excellent phone in this price range and considering the features.Battery with just 20% gave me 5.5 hours of talk time.Used 20% battery entire day (mostly web browsing and watching movies) but still it did not die at the end of day.Hats off to the battery.
I came accross one issue - the screen/display/backlight seems to be flickering after regular intervals , which worries me a little.I havent read this in any of the reviews so far.
Is anyone facing similar problem?

Bought this phone last week believe me the phone is worth of the money as no other brand is dared to stand against Lenovo's battery competition. Having said this lone draw back is internal memory offered.
Hence I have ordered 32GB strontium, class 10 SD card and yet to receive. Planed to move all the applications to external memory and free up internal.
I will provide the feed back about this next week.
If someone has already tested this please share your experience.

i was skeptical about the phone especially the user experience, but i can say this is what a simple android phone should look like. perfect screen outdoors, good size,lenovo UI is good and the battery is next to none. other handy functions include OTG and it is very very cheap. conclusion i can only trade this phone for an htc buterfly s, note 3, may be a samsung s4. one advice get this phone if u can and good work lenovo.
