After update battery drains fast. And wifi connection poor. Want to go back to old version. This is horrible. Maybe have to buy new phone??? Is there a possibility that lenovo makes it possible to downgrade over the air??
Please lenovo make it possible to downgrade my phone. This is horrible. No wifi battery. Come on fix it. I will never never ever "upgrade" again. Phone worked so good. Why did i upgrade??????

Every phone has its own advantages and disadvantages... If you take high end phones they are pricey...if you take low end phones they are either slow or have bad display clarity...so you need to first understand why do you need a phone and what is the purpose...don't just buy some phone and blog that it is good or bad, spend some time here only if you really like or didn't like so that it would be helpful for buyers... Phone manufacturers are NOT idiots to give all nice features at lesser price...so we need to look at what is important for us...OK now coming to the point..and I don't have much to say..i have Lenovo P780 and i am really satisfied with it, trust me and just go for Lenovo P780...and you will not regret..you want to compare it with other phones well go ahead..show me a phone with this price range that has 4000 mah battery, 720p with 294 ppi display, 8 GB internal and SD card support, 1 GB RAM and Android KitKat..yes i am obsessed with this phone...with this phone you will go a long way..ok now read above from start all over again.

After upgrading to kitkat I am facing the following issues
1. Camera not able to focus properly. Picture quality is bad. I was happy with the camera before upgrade.
2. The sound quality is very low unable to hear anything from the other end.
3. Issues with 3g network. No signal coming once I select the 3G network.
4. Phonebook not synchronizing with my car audio bluetooth though able to connect and make calls. The contact numbers get displayed in the display of my car radio set instead of the contact names.
5. Performance of the phone is bit slow gets hanged which never happened before upgradation.
6. The volume output has drastically gone down of I connect my mobile to any speaker / car audio system.
7. Whatsapp and viber do not keep running at the back end, the messages come only when these two applications are opened on the screen.
8. The swipt text writing not working.
Request lenovo to fix these issues at earliest and release patches to fix these issues.

Please suggest me to update p780 to kitkat or stay on jellybean as I found negative feedback as poor camera quality, battery drains more, no usb on the go function, radio not works properly, can't capture screen shots using power+volume down keys, apps can't be moved to memory card, user interface is slow, internet speed slow. Please help me

Just upgraded to Android Kitkat 4.4.2 and phone does not charge. Overnight charging shows 1% charged. Tried different chargers, cables, usb and everything. After factory reset and starting up phone several times, the charging % went up to 20% and then again the same issue. It's now at 18% and stuck there for long.
Have learnt that some Samsung devices are facing similar issues after the upgrade.
As P780 does not have a removable battery there are no alternate methods to charge (?). Anyone knows a work around? Any app that can help? Since various chargers and plug-points have been tried, this seems like a software issue. Is there a way to rollback the OS upgrade?

even i given for upgradation with 4.4.kit kat now net not catching evryday 3 or 4 times need to switch off and switch on. rest all at this price the features are fantastic

I made a big mistake - upgrade my P780 with 4.4.2 Kit-Kat. Lot of problems - biggest one is no network connection. Both sim cards mainly unreachable. What to do? I do factory reset but agian I have 4.4.2. I would like to have again my old good P780 4.2 Jelly Bean. But I don't know how to manage this. Please - could you help?

its a great phone..but i want to ask team lenovo that after update to kitkat 4.4.2 i am having approximate 250 mb ram only..whats the solution...i have got 1 gb ram. camera is working fine...it lags sometimes in UI..please update me...or i had to revert to original 4.2.2

Good phablet. Only problems related to internet access and blue tooth. Worried to Upgrade to kitkat as problems of up gradation is not resolved. Waiting for positive feedback and then do up gradation.

After KitKat s221 update I am facing network problem at sometimes both sims are not reachable need to restart the phone to get signal. Network stability is must please Lonovo fix that issue.
the swipe typing option was disabled I don't know why,
Camera shutter speed is good,
picture quality is also good,
wide touch is very useful,
double tap on screen will lock the screen that is nice,
There is no lag in UI that's amazing.
Great phone, lenovo please work on network stability.

Lots of new Features.And yes still it does support word and other Office Docs. So i am Thankful to Lenovo and extremely Happy with this company, Phone and this Update and will continue suggesting this Phone and other good products of yours to others.

I have updated to KitKat and all the phone functions are properly working except few laggings.ui is wonderful.do not hard reset as it does not work to come back to jellybean.
