Ive had this phone for 3 months and Im very disapointed... It cracked in the first drop from 2 feet high, no protection sold due to its size, battery dosnt charge fast enough to match the velocity at which the phone uses it... for instance i charge it to 100% yesturday in the morning and barely opened it 2 or 3 times in the day and now ith has 23%... If I use it battery dosnt last trough the day, it wont even get to the evening or night... no support of Lenovo in Mexico, even though one factory and big distribution center is on my city... Got it for $225.00 on a Sale and teach me that cheap is a synonim of bad quality... I have been using Iphone since 2010 and never had adventured to android, now I am regreting of my decision and thinking seriously for Iphone again or going for Samsung expecting that the price justify the quality of it...

i have got it like 6 weeks back.
for battery, not bad.
sound volume level is very low even with doulby activation.
processor is not fast as expected from its price.
screen is great.
some applications can't be installed despite it is not very old !
camera can be far better
worst thing is that many applications stops at the sudden with very ugly comment "unfortunately not working". this is not fare and not promising.
if i am 6 weeks back i would not pay such amount for this device.
shall i clear the cashe and data every day to keep applications on my device.
not advising to purchase it

I bought this phone because I needed a big screen with high ppi. Strangely, I started out by looking for a kindle, but they are so expensive here in China (I'm staying for a bit here) that I went looking for other options. When I searched on jd.com this phone stood out. It was about the same price as the kindle (a bit less than a thousand yuan), it had about the same screen size, better resolution (higher ppi) and it was a phone! I could use it for other things! That seemed good!
Actually my current phone, an LG Magna (H502F), drives me crazy because it is so slow, really! I attribute that slowness to it only having 1GB of RAM while I am forced to use several messaging apps all the time. So a phone with 3GB of RAM seemed really attractive. Then I read the review here:
http://www.gsmarena.com/lenovo_phab2_plus-review-1533.php
and I was a bit disappointed with the phone, it said many bad things, about the speed, bulkiness, but especially the screen quality was really what made it look such a bad choice. I mean I wanted it for the screen, if it was bad I would have no use for it, and I am picky about screens! But because I had such a good feeling about this phone, and also because the one they recommended, the Xiaomi Max, was more than 50% more expensive here in China, and also because I read a good user's review here on this site, I decided to take a chance. It's cheap anyway.
When I received the phone I was utterly surprised! The phone is fast! I mean fast! I know it's only a mediatek CPU but it works pretty well for what I use it for. Internet, eBooks, wechat, etc. I didn't try any games. But wow, this really flows. And a large part of it has to do with the 3GB or RAM. I can have several pages open simultaneously in Chrome, a book in ezpdfreader, music on EsExplorer, another book on another pdf reader, a bunch of other apps running (settings, etc) and it never needs to reload a webpage or the desktop. It just flows. For me, coming from a 1GB phone, this is heaven (I have the latest software Chinese version - perhaps that makes a difference it's the PB2-670N_S000035_161202_PRC).
The other surprising thing was the screen. Yes it is a reflective screen, just like the review said. But reflective screens have the advantage that everything is very crisp. I am one of those persons that distinguishes individual pixels while working with a traditional computer and monitor. In this case, if the monitor is anything bellow 180 ppi I simply have to disable any kind of font smoothing (antialiasing) which is really bothersome. With modern phones I usually don't have that problem, due to higher ppi, but I feel the fonts are sometimes less defined than I would want. With this phone I have a screen which I simply adore. It's more crisp than my eyes can distinguish. And, most importantly, even in landscape mode, both of my eyes see the same kind of light. In many other screens, the light will be emitted differently, due to the small angle between the left and right eye. This difference makes it uncomfortable to read on the phone for a very long time. Here I found it very, very comfortable. I spent more than 6 hours reading a book and I never got tired. The fingertip reader is also a big plus coming from my old LG phone.
For movies it is somewhat good, it can display h264 movies fine, but it seems to have no hardware support for the HEVC (x265) codec, which is a pity. In any case MX player works perfectly with everything I've thrown at it, with the exception of HEVC 1080p, which stutters.
Negative points: the phone is heavy, now I'm a male who loves sports, I don't really notice its weight, but I can see that perhaps for many people it may become tiresome to hold. A related aspect is that, because it is so big and heavy, it seems that it might break if it falls to the ground. Of course I'm not sure about that (it never fell in my hands), but although I like it a lot, I am still use my terrible LG phone for the outdoors. The LG has fallen to the ground innumerable times (more than 30 - including sometimes when I was riding my bike) and it's all scratched on the sides, but still works perfectly, with a perfect, not-a-single-scratch, screen (and I never used any cover on the LG phone). But with the Lenovo, due to its size and weight, I'm afraid that one single bad fall may break the phone, even though I bought a protective back cover for it. Also, because it is so big it may be difficult to carry around (although I was able to put it in the pockets I tried so far). In my case, because of this fear it might get broken, I'm not really sure if I'll use it for the outside, specially while doing sports, etc.
The other thing I didn't like was the charging cable, it's too small and not very flexible.
Another thing I didn't like is the way it stands when you put it on a table. The camera's glass stands out and it just seem that it would be scratched sooner or later by just laying the phone down repeatedly. That's one of the reasons I bought a protective back cover.
But, for my needs, I did find the near perfect phone, and it was so cheap!! :-) Thanks for the other guy who also posted here a positive detailed review, you made the difference!!
